Hey all,

I need to get some new tyres for my stock 97 Vti, just wondering if anyone has come accross a good set for this model. I was thinking of going for Michelins, but I'm not sure what they're like for normal use. I don't need any uber-tyres, just something that'll last, has low road noise, and won't cost more than $120 a piece. And yes, these are just standard size tyres i need (175/65/14's I think).

Cheers

Have a look through this thread. There is a lot of information about all different tyres, and what people thought of them.

yeah, i read through the whole tyre post, looks like its a choice between the ER592's, Pirelli P6000's or the equivalent Michelins.

Just sick of the road noise, and don't want to have to start worrying about grip levels. Got Pos-a-Tractions on the front at the moment, they've got great grip but so NOISY!!

Thanks for the info

Aren't they any good? People have been saying they're OK

Please keep in mind that these are only going on a stock car, it's no speed demon, only gets me to work and back etc. Just need a good set of daily drivers.

Thanks

blardy noob - watch your p's and q's hahahaha

I have personally driven on the ER592 over long and short distances and they are a great tyre.

I have compared them to other tyres in the bridgestone line-up and point to point perform as well as a G Grid or Turanza etc.
