i was just wondering whether i should turbo my SOHC vtec motor thats i have now, or bet a b16a conversion.
Also wondering how much a turbo kit would cost for my car and if they make performance parts such as cams, cam gears, pistons, valves and valve springs for the sohc vtec motors, so i can boost/ rev it higher...

well all my mates have turbo cars ranging from an EG hatch, s15, wrx, skylines, b4's and gsr's and i love going in there cars cause i love the noises of turbo cars an how they pull u back in ur seat.
as for money, i have trouble saving lol so turbo would be better cause i can buy all the little parts like bov, turbo timers and all those lillte things. but im not sure what b16a would be like, i jus dont really wana do an engine conversion as i have a vtec motor in excellent condition.

do an engine conversion to a b16a... easier to drive everyday, and less matainance.
less headaches and when it comes to selling, more people would be interested! but don't listen to me??? you will only learn from your mistakes as i once did!

i see...well i will listen to people who have done this before cause they would know if they'd do it again or not...so a b16a with little goodies like cams and valves n springs n full exhaust would be quickish?

a b16a with very simple mods makes for a great engine! and they will last forever if well looked after...

LOL, depends on ur term of quickish.

Itll be decent for a 1.6 NA.

But dont be expect to be munching s14s, wrx's etc.

lolz i jus wana be able to beat atleast v6s...but my dream is to have a b16a supercharged in my civic...but cant see that happening for quite a number of years, thats why i was thinkn of turboing my motor.
i will be hoping for around130kw at the wheels from a n/a b16a without spending too much...is that achievable? and what sorts of times do u think id be getting?

i only have induction and 4-2-1 extractors! thats it!
i believe that the 4-2-1 give better mid range, but this only what i think.

definetly n/a would prolly be a safer way. less hassles and prolly alot easier to do
prolly cheaper too

but i reckon power might be alittle restricted
but stil good fun

i reacon set ur car up to go quik now in n/a form, save up an turbo your b16 later down the track.
thats wat im doin to my b18b,
getting crower cams in in 2 weeks, edelbrock manifold, and ZEX nitrous kit for the track,
then im gona save up for a turbonetics kit, comes with new injectors and ecu, even new engine oil.

i was looking to supercharge, if u can find a good bargain on a s/c then go for it but normal retail price on then is more than a descent turbo kit.
turbonetics kit will cost me 6500 landed here in perth,
vortech kit will cost 7500 plus freight to get it to perth
JR wont even reply to my emails.
im gona atemp to install kit my self to cut down on my cost.
