I'm interested in a copy of the service manual as well. Is the EK4 service manual applicable to the EK1 as they're both 6th gen civics, i think. If so they can I pls have the link if you've uploaded it? Cheers.

Haynes Manual is the way to go. I've got one and it's DAMN Good. All you need to know is in this book!!!
it's the edition where it covers Civic 96-00, Ingetra 92-99, and CR-V
Covers Engine D16Y & B16A.....

For what its worth I called a dealer when I bought my EK about two years ago and asked for a factory service manual. I was told Honda did not sell them.

I just make do with my Haynes manual. :)

The one that I downloaded previously is a US/UK (D16Y7) model, which is pretty similar to D16Y4, the only thing different is that the intake manifold is different (uses the same as the D16Y8 US SOHC Vtec).

AUS / USA / JDM are all totally different in terms of trim levels, motors, states of tune, accessories, fuel types and not to mention LHD / RHD.

while a lot of generic info is common to all 3 regions like bodywork, suspension, basic maintenance etc, other specific points are missed in favour of local specifications.. however a USA manual would be better than NOTHING.

as far as I know the ONLY AUS manual for EK4 is the factory service manual which is available only to HONDA service depts.. and those lucky enough to scam one somehow.

JDM Manuals are written in Japaneese, so if you need one of those, you might need an interpreter.. UK would be your best bet cause they are LHD, written in english and cover most DOHC VTEC models we have available here.

He's got a point there and im surprised no one has actually picked that up.
I was aware of this as I have the Civic Haynes manual with me here at work and it is for the USDM.

Again, I have the manual in my car.

HyperZ, what do u need to know ?

Im not aware of an Australian one but I would have thought the one you get in the service folder is what you're referring to. I know Pitstop Bookshop have a plethora of Honda tuning manuals.

Seriously, if you're just gonna do basic maintainence work on your car, there's not much of a difference whether it's an UKDM, USDM, JDM or AUDM.

Thanks guys I don't see ek though. What am I missing
get this one for ek
Civic 1996-2000 EJ6, EJ7, EJ8, EM1 includes Si B16A2
I use that for my ek1, it also has em1 section with b16a2 so you can use most of it for ek4.
Its USDM tho so LHD and different emissons parts etc but still can be used for alot of things.

can also sign up here and look for one

Sweet, thanks guys. Btw im looking up how to take the full dash and heater box off to get to that shitty leak because Honda didn't put enough silicon on the body. FML such a big job for a little thing.
And yes I'm sure it's coming from there.
Again thanks all, very helpful forum. :)
