I just got honda jazz...

i wanna make the headlight really bright.. like 5000-7000k headlight... but when i go to some auto shop they told me to buy PIAA headlight / MARUTA .. and if u want better use HID/BI-xenon..

what should i choose?

ps: when i ask the honda dealer.. they told me.. they can put the HID to my honda jazz for $500

im guessin thats just for labour....

u can get aftermarket HID's for 400-500 onwards... depending on brand/quality

i think a few other jazz owners have done HID conversions.. so expect them to help ya out...
also do a search... alota info has been covered on the topic...

try straight swap with more powerful white lamp first as this relatively cheap and easy to install, if not satisfied then go hid

That's not a bad price if they give u warranty on the HID....but hope they don't put the cheapest HID on though

cant go wrong with philips...

n as for colour temp...
depends what kinda look ur want...
white? white/blue? blue? purple?
4500k for practicality (see everything on the road :D) ... 6000k-12000k for bling factor (higher up u go the more blue it looks.. get past 10000k n it starts to look purple)

EDIT: also as u go higher up in the colour temp.. less visible light is produced... thats why most auto manufacturers go with around 4500k for their hid equipped vehicles

thats right. if you want bright, stick with 6000k or less. Any higher than that and it looks blue and not bright.

to be honest, any temp in HID is BRIGHT which is more than enough for road use so choose the color u want is the way to go.
Also from a research, elder ppl tend to see bluish color better while younger ppl tend to see yellowish color better =).

Get 4100-4300k for ultimate brightness. This is what OEM HID systems use.

Also the reflector housings in your Jazz won't be optimal for HID. You'll most likely have a large bright patch in front of the car and find that for actually driving with it might be worse than halogens due to the bright patches.

Retrofit some projectors y0!

HID on a jazz will still be brighter than
halogen but just not as nice as projector

you can always do a DIY projector on your Fit headlights

if ur AFTERMARKET HID is not way too off from White.. i think the chance of getting defected is minimal...

><...i got pulled over for using my foglights!!

Ever since then i never used my foglights again. :(

LOL, damn, i should've used that excuse, " when i buy my jazz is already like that.. u should ask my dealer "

But i did say i didn't knew since i only had the car for less than a month. Then the cop said, "It's driver's responsibility to know otherwise you shouldn't be on the road".

Damn, i thought he'll be lenient and let me go as a first warning BUT 78bux gone like that!!

I guess it's was the night on anzac day, and so cops had fish people like me to fill their quota. Also, ffs, there were dozens of cars driving past that had foglights on too.

But then again, i wouldn't wanna risk it just in case the cop jumps into the car to find a switch for the foglights. Might get screwed over for dishonesty or something

Hi guys and girls,

I am new to this forum. I am also in the market for HID lights for my Jazz... I am sick of blowing globes (the blue tint ones)...

I noticed on ebay a few sellers.. most are under $350AUD (China/Korea/Taiwan). What is the quality difference between these kits and say a German made product?

I was looking at purchasing this --> Link here (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ProLumen-HID-kit-4300k-or-6000k-350-shipped-in-AUS_W0QQitemZ4572468691QQcategoryZ102560QQssPageNa meZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Seriously, don't put HID kits in your Jazz reflector headlight housings...

HID? buy from indo. regarding about the colour temp, well.. the higher colour temp, it will more reflect on wet road.. that means if you use 8000k HID xenon headlight on wet road, all u can see is the road lines only, not the surface of the road. 4500k is the standard colour temp. but, if you already have a fog lamp, well, no need to worry bout this.
if you're from indo, well.. nice to know u man.. welcome to ozhonda.. PM me if you need some help regarding about HID Xenon on Jazz. :P
