Hey guys, i've searched and found nothing

ps: dont make comments about straigth line speed i aint really interested in it

Has anyone got real experience of the handling difference between 16x6.5 and 15x6.5? on twisty roads?

which one is better?

this question is asked with average quality rims in mind (not real buddy club p1s, etc etc)

gary.. it depends on wat tyres you have really..

if u get tyres that are 55 profile compared to 65..

the 65's profile tyre wall will flew more that the 55 which hence sometime it feel abit wobbly or boatish..

i put 50 profile tyres on my 15's compared to 65 profile.. dood.. 50 profiles handle.. Hell of alot better.. also depends on which tyre..

what he is trying to say is that different tyres make more of a difference to handling then the rim size in some cases.
Of course rim size does matter, depending on what you use it for and/or how you want your car to feel/handle.

65profile on 15" rim is stupid.

stock from factory is 55 profile on 15"

if u get 65 on a 15" u will get more sidewall roll.

And hence decreased handling.

I think it depends on what car you are talking about.

I had 205/45/17 with kumho 712 tyres and swapped temporarily with a friend who had 195/50/15 wheels and same kumho tyres and the car handled way better on 15s

At the moment I have 205/45/16 which I think is quite good for handling

did you notice much of a grip difference when you went from 205 down to 195 then back up to 205 again? Did you car feel more "nimble" when you had 195 on?

ok, i own and use two sets of wheels; 18x7.5-215/35/18 rubber and 15x6-195/55/15 (quite the extremeties). i personally feel the lower tyre profile, the better the handling around corners due to stiffer and shorter sidewalls, although, i believe stiffer sidewalls are achieved on semi-slick tyres regardless profile. However, on my stock wheels i feel there is obvious tyre sidewall roll during turns, which compromises control but straight runs are awesome. Just letting you know how two different wheels handles on the road.
