does anyone have this deck? or a similiar one?
that deck has no Bass compared to my existing SONY deck
dunno why
there's no option for adjusting BASS, only can ajdust the EQ.

So why don't you just adjust the bass frequencies on the EQ?

Adjust the lower frequencies eg. 50Hz - 1KHz, whatever the headunit gives you the option of changing.
But turning the low frequencies right up won't necessarily make the bass sound better, could distort and sound even worse.
Its just trial and error until you get what sound you're happy with.

an easier way to say it is to go to custom EQ setting. then you know how you have your 7band EQ (wave),
the one on the far left is pretty much the bass and will make the significant difference. Its not gonna do
wonders but try it, thats the most simple possible solution.

^^^^^ yeah what he said. I've never used a sony deck so i dunno how it uses EQ settings.

i think he's getting it wrong, it's a JVC.
even b4, when i had the sony deck. it was a simple cheap deck, but it pumped out bass pretty nice...reasonable...
but this JVC , is so damn shit...it's almost like flat!!! i did tune the EQ...it's not that. not working...i dunno maybe it's just the different brands...

well ive got a jvc and i reckonz its pumps out a shit load of bass for a system without a sub...running 7x10 in the rear though....only running the bass to half its potential
for mine ive got an additional bass level setting so if i turn up the bass on the EQ and its not enought i can turn it agen on the extra bass level thing...buh atm there both on half setting and im more then happy...im pretty sure uve got a setting wrong somewhere just keep playing with it...took me agez just to work out how to change the clock =)..
if u dont like it no more ill b happy to swap :D

i dunno maybe it's just the different brands...
i highly doubt its the brand. each headunit will have the same output of 4x50w or 4x22wrms (approx).
it wont mean that a brand such a sony will have more bass due to their "XPlod" slogan..

If you're really that worried about it, take it back to where you bought it from and get them to test it out for ya.
