Front end conversions for DC5R <-> DC5S, AUDM DC2 <-> JDM DC2, Etc.

is it possible to fit a facelifted front end onto the audm dc5r's?
was having this discussion today in a lecture at uni?
can it be done? why/why not?

secondly it is possible, but just diff wiring for headlights, its been done to a few times in america, log onto clubrsx.com.. i think the exterior section?
I've only seen a guy convert the back lights of an 2002 model to 2005 model, but im pretty sure you can do it to the front as well.
its not as difficult as the audm dc2r to jdm dc2r ..i think... with the need of radiator suport etc.

you will need
front bumper x1, grill x1, headlight housing x2, and some extra plastic bits under the front bumper

you might also need to extend the wiring for the parker bulbs
they are in different locations in the headlight cluster

other than that, it's all sweet.

i didnt realise there was that much of a difference between the jdm and audm dc5R
than again i dont really pay that much attention to DC5R's
can sumone point out the differences???

replace the fenders and front bar. and do some re-lighting..

if u can do a dc5r front end conversion on a Ek i dont see why u would have much trouble doin it on a audn dc5r

yes you can do dc2 > jdm dc2 conversion.

same with the dc5 aswell.

doing a JDM DC2 conversion is alot harder then doing a 2005 Conversion onto a 2004 model DC5

unlike the DC2 conversion...the DC5 you will not need to do any internal bodywork...it's mostly panel work plus wiring...
you will need different wiring harness becuase the headlights are different and the lightbulbs are in different locations. (ie, parker lights)

i call their bluf until i actually see one.
i know you can do a DC5 front end conversion onto an EK but having a DC5 front on a DC2 and the part is sold by carmate...i doubt it..
if there is, then good luck to the person fitting it...lol

if you do a bit of research around the forums, AUSDM DC2R -> JDM DC2R is gonna set u back roughly 5K

spend big money but jdm yard is selling cheapper now.
also ask jdm concept asm well.
these traders can get them for sure...
