JDM HID question

Does anywone own a DC2R JDM???? If sumone does.... do u know where HID "box" thing sits coz i had mine taken out coz of the complaince problem and now i wonna put em back in but i dunno where they were sitting..... and i got no room on the passinger side of the car

they are sort of part of the headlight and bolt in as part of it, directly behind the headlight

nah they are i just got the normal lights in my car not the HID's..

huh?.. do you have a jdm front?.. So you got the non hid jdm headlights then?.. is that right?
Cause if you take out the ballast.. then your hid bulb wont light up. And you say you got normal bulbs in there.. but normal bulbs shouldnt fit in the same socket as where the hid bulbs go in cause its a d2s bulb.

im sorry i cant answer your question i have a DC2 AUD spec my aftermarket HID ballasts are just atttached wherever then can go :P

Insane, the JDM come with the ballast mounted as part of the headlight peice, if ur 96 spec headlight hasnt got hid and ur trying to put an aftermarket hid on it, u wont be able to mount it like the factory 98 jdm type.

why dont you just mount it anywhere on the engine bay furtherest away from heat if possible or put it hehind the front bar

yeah if u have a jdm spec non hid u will need 2 find sumwhere else to mount the ballasts, the stock ballasts from 98+ hid headlights are way too big and the wiper bottle and other engine bay stuff gets in the way.

just get aftermarket ones with smaller ballasts n mount them elsewher elike others have said

Right.. so u got the jdm style headlights.. but your headlight is not the HID type?.. is that right? If so...then..your sockets on the low beam will not fit the d2s base of the hid bulb. You will need to get a kit.. with a hid bulb that has a hb4 base ( if thats the socket on the low beam) the ballast on the jdm hid headlight is massive....

iv got an 2001 JDM and i used to have HIDs in my lights the original ones but i forgot where there were sittin coz i had to take them of...... coz of the shit i had 2 do so yeh..
