is a Jazz an 8v or a 16v (o.O)
The Jazz comes in both 8V and 16V. The i-Dsi model is a 4 cylinder twinspark 8 valves and the VTi model is a 4 cylinder single spark 16 valve. Want more info, check out this website.... very informative.

The 1.2 is the base model i-dsi engine (not sold in Australia and alot of other markets) so 8v but the dsi really lifts the performance over a traditional 8 valve engine. The 1.3 sold in Australia is marketed as a 1.4 in alot of markets.
That article is the absolute best written about the L-Series engines.

A little small, but I'll get some other pictures up when I wash my car again.
Only thing I've done is added on some window visors.
It's not really my car, it's my mums but I drive it more often.
It's the 1.2 (sooo slooow) but plan to add mods to it when it becomes mine (lowering, k&n filter and a custom exhaust, alloys). Not bad though, mum managed to get it for £8k cash
doesnt it switch between 12v and 16v

8,000 pounds that's over A$19,000. The Australian prices are looking real good by comparison.
The i-vtec switches between 12v & 16v but the i-dsi is just 8v all the time with the dual spark plugs. Its a shame they couldn't do both dual spark and vtec (maybe in the future) but both engines are already masterpieces given their size, power and economy.

The dealership loaned me a DSi model to get around while my car was in fro warranty repairs and the fuel consumption on the car is unbelievably low! I travelled around 100kms and the fuel tank was still full LOL!

The Jazz doesn't run i-vtec.....it's "regular" vtec....the economy version
