Is it true u dont mean to run too much bass for the speakers 6.5 and 6.0" in the car despite what brand they are? As they are for only trebbles and vocals correct? And the bass are meant to come from subwoofers?
ATM i dont have sub woofers and i want bass but too worried if i crank up the bass in speakers, they might blow up at high output. when i tried turning the bass up and play at 70% of the volume limit, u can hear it shaking the car interior, or its best to turn bass low on them and wait for the sub?

The 6 or 6.5s are meant to do from your highs to the mid bass. The speaker specs will show what range they cover. A larger woofer / subwoofer just does the deeper notes. When you have a sub / subs most people set a high pass filter to the 6ers and a low pass filter to the subs so that they do what each handles best.

If you getting lots of vibration when you crank it then maybe you need some sound deadening. You going to have the same prob with subs without sound deadening too, probably even worse as the deeper sounds cause even more vibration.

yeah shaking is normal. expect any car to shake unless you use some sound deadening or screw things down really tight. You get some average bass out of 6 inchers, nothing special. But if you like to FEEL your bass, get a sub or 2.

vupham, its fine to crank up the bass from the 6,5" as long as you're sane about it. How to be sane and avoid a blown driver:

1. Ensure enough power are going thru the driver. Enough doesnt mean power from the headunit. If you are supplying small amount of power to the driver and trying to get too much bass, or turning it up too loud, you'll clip the amp and this is what's going to blow your driver.
2. Ensure not too much power is going thru the driver. Pump up 3000wrms through your 6,5" and they'll pump out big time... but for not too long.

Even though 6,5" wont compare to a sub in output, what they do is to help blend the sound of the sub to the front. The bass coming from the 6,5" should blend in well to the sound of the sub and help bring the bass sound to the front.

6" or 6.5" are more to mid range bass, they wont give you earth shaking bass, that is why they have subs. as for rattling the car inter. better get some sound deadend materials.

thanks all, my front are boston pro60 and rear are pioneer ts-161-d. The boston can run 125rms max and the pioneer can handle 60rms max. My amp is alpine mrv-545 125rms per channel and im running all 4 channels on them. so if i crank it up, my bosotn of course be louder but can the pioneer handle it or it just can't go louder than the boston at same amount of volume. im scared if i crank up to %80 of my volume limit, my boston can handle it but my pioneer can't
