What would be the best way to clean spoon calipers or aftermarket calipers?
I have found that some ppl use brake cleaner but i belive that its abit harsh and may cause the color on the caliper to fade. Are there any other products out there which is effective in cleaning calipers without fading the colour??

Just some water and detergent :)

They're gonna get dirty when you keep braking anyways ;)

how long will it last while driving?
i suspect it would have dried up before you even got to the exit of the carwash

yes it would but suprisingly they do last a long time.
but u never know though..
you could have a crash due to the brakes straight out of the carwash.

WARNING!! DO NOT SOAK IN TRUCK WASH OR WATER BASED DETERGENTS OVERNIGHT!

They are usually quite caustic and will eat through the anodizing and into the alloy. A customer of ours did that with a set of Brembo calipers only to find very little left of them the next day.

You're probably better off using brake cleaner. While it seems harsh, it's would be the best stuff for the job.
