Welcome buddy.

I like your grille...if you call it dat. Where'd you source that item from??

bigdongers
24-02-2004, 01:28 PM
I got the upper grille from Malaysia. The bumper mesh grill is actually an Honda accessory in Australia.

toE
24-02-2004, 01:45 PM
.....from Malaysia....

i thought so.

the CRVs are pretty huge in M'sia.

They are gonna be producing/manufaturing the CRVs there soon if they havent already. But i dont know if it's for the local market or international market. so u'd expect them to produce aftermarket bits too aye.. :)

My brother's got a CRV with gen 5 Prelude rims (wonder where he got those  ) on it

I'll post a pic up when he gets back... it's also a black one, but not the sports one unfortunately!

My mum used to have a first gen CRV - they rock, I learnt to drive in a CRV

toE
24-02-2004, 10:47 PM
how many variants are there for the CRV anyways??

bigdongers
24-02-2004, 11:35 PM
there are only 2 varients. Standard and Sport. both are the same mechanically but the sport gets the look good gear like painted bumpers and mirrors, sunroof, alloys, hard spare wheel cover, fog lights, etc...

27-02-2004, 01:31 PM
Thanks for that!! I must say those wheels look sweet on my V. I have been considering wheels for a while but putting low pro tires on a 4wd looks strange unless you do a big slamming job on it :)

Hey lads, can I play? I have a 2000 CRV, with a bit of tint and stuff.. Only had it a few months.. Not many of us CRV drivers on here but..

About to put Accord Euro rims on mine.. Will post pics after it is done..

Nice rig too.. Mine is black as well, but obviously the older model, but Sport.

A'PEXi
28-02-2004, 10:05 AM
accord euro rims :D gotta see what that will look like

BenettonVW
28-02-2004, 10:13 AM
Yeah, gotta admit, I'm a little curious myself.

The move from 15" rims to 16's is only a small one I know, but it could add a different look overall to the car, well, thats the theory anyway..

After all, got the new rims for the best price in the world.. :o

Rowie
28-02-2004, 01:22 PM
dont forget to post up pics with the new rims :)

What colour are the euro rims you are putting on?

A'PEXi
28-02-2004, 02:24 PM
how much?

BenettonVW
29-02-2004, 07:44 PM
Well, the Euro rims will be standard alloy rims, off a stock Euro, and as far as I know, the best price in the world is.... FREE!! ;)

My dad's workmate lent his brand new Black 04' CRV for him to drive to work for da past few weeks. So da Euro has been sittin in da garage during da week..

It's so exciting when u get to drive a brand new car! :P

Went for a drive in it and only had 700kms on it so no thrashing!

I'm so used to driving smaller cars and was so difficult to get used to parkin n all!

The CRV has an in-dash Blapunkt TV and Sat Nav! 8) It's was so annoying having two seperate remotes...

Too bad I couldn't work out how to get the sound from da TV. :(

When my bro had a drive it was so funny when he couldn't put da Handbrake down! :D Then I guess most RV cars have a similar set-up..

The CR-V was a nice car to drive, perfect for long trips! Still da verdict was Dad still luvs da Euro! ;)

My dad had the old CRV Sport...I loved that car so much. I would get a CRV if I had a family or something...

It was his work hack and he racked up 170,000kms on it in about 2.5 years. There was not 1 single problem with it over that time and it still went pretty hard (although it was getting a bit noisy under the bonnet). They are the best!

Bad thing is, he has since sold it and bought a new Falcon....

G'day. Does any one know how i can buy cheaper fog lights to suit the current crv without going to the dealer?......legally!

bigdongers
03-11-2004, 02:02 AM
I think the only way is to buy them overseas. Even then, you may need to look at aftermarket ones like ones made by a company called carryboy to get them significantly cheaper.

A friend wants lowering springs for his crv, are there any that lowers the car 3inches or more?

thanks

smoknhothonda
13-11-2004, 07:08 AM
Yeah man you can adjust the height 0-4 inches, but if you lower it anymore then 2 3 inches I strongly reccomend that he purchases sum aftermarket shocks, lemme know if he is keen to buy em. To look at the pics of the springs go to www.weapon-r.com

the Crv is a 2002
what I am wanting to know is the standard offset of a factory wheel.
Also the stud pattern ?

pat88c
12-10-2014, 10:57 PM
Crv are 5x114.3

Do a Google search or trail and error trying different size and offset wheels to get max stance look you want
