Aussie ED6s have piss poor disks up front and drums on the rear as do their JDM EF and Euro EE counterparts. The next step up in braking is the Euro and JDM Sis which have meatier front and rear disks. The final step up is the EE9 (Euro) and EF9 (JDM) VTEC Civics (VT and SiR badging respectively) which run even bigger front disks and disc rear ends.

Caveat: The AWD JDM Sedans also run the EF9/EE9 braking system.

The CRXs follow this trend as well.

In Australia, there is only one spec of 4th gen - GL (If you discount the AWD wagon and the Concherto which is a bastardised Civic). You need to look abroad for the ED6 - although the ED9 CRX Disks can be bolted up with minimal fuss (don't forget the brake booster too though).
