View Full Version : Best place to replace my gearbox?

Ive got a 95 Integra VTIR and ive been told by a few machanics that i either need to replace my whole gearbox or just replace the gearbox bearing..
im from melbourne s.e surburbs, where would be the best place to replace my gearbox?

Get them to open it up first and then see if the gears actually do need replacing or its just the bearings and maybe a few synchros.

Either way if its all done by a mechanic......dont expect much change out of 1-1200 dollars.

im not worried about the money! just want to fix the problem asap! the rattling sounds giving me the shits

just a quick question. Is it possible to put a DC2R LSD gearbox into a VTIR? whats the differents any gains?

they want you to change the WHOLE gbox just because u need new bearings ???

if you live is springvale then go to lee at SLR motorsport, along osborn avenue,
his a gun and knows his stuff. his cheap and honest, but then again you get what you pay for. go get a quote off him

Yeah i dont live to far from there.. i was going to go get a quote from the guy but my car couldnt get up his driveway haha..
This time ill ask him for sure
