Without question, get a front cut. if you dont you will IMO run into trouble trying to find parts you need at the wreckers and/or honda spare parts and go way over budget.
Speaking from experience and doing 99% of the work involved myself, everything that i needed from the front cut was in good and working order.
I payed top dollar for my front cut ($3200) because i wanted to be sure i got a good one. JDM 96 prelude SIR It had a genuine 60060km, factory LSD and P13 ECU
Also came with the prelude gear shifter and leather gearknob which i swapped into the accord plus a host of other JDM prelude goodies which i sold off afterwards
www.adelaidejap.com.au were great, they changed the timing and balance shaft belts as a precaution, compression tested the engine ( passed with flying colours) and also offered a 3 month warranty on all the parts in the front cut. I have had no problems with the engine or anything else that came with the front cut and i've done 45000km on it so far.
The ONLY part i had to source that didnt come with the cut was -
-custom length ( 43") a/c, alternator belt.
There was a couple of other mods invloved but you can check out the whole swap progress here.

The swap is worth every penny.

Hay Dundas,
keep your P28 you have if you go H22,
helps get rid of alot of fault codes, like ELD, EGR lift.

why wouldnt he use the LSD in his car? i mean it only provides better traction?
ne waiiz.. yeah half cut is you're best option cos that way you have everything there.. of even better. get an accord SiR half cut if you can find it.. like me.. makes the job easier

getting an accord sir front cut wont make it much easier but you will lose 10hp and the LSD that comes with a prelude sir.
nickipooz, you got a mechanic to do your swap so it made no difference to you if it was easier or not ;)

So did you notice a major improvement in the way your accord puts power to the ground?
I have heard of some people retaining the f22B gearbox, due to its higher gear ratio's that are more suitable for turbo applications, and biased towards better fuel economy...

yes, it puts it to both wheels but the extra power still means u break traction if not careful! Its good around corners under acceleration though and if u drive in the mud it's alot harder to get bogged compared to non lsd.
In torque steers alot under hard acceleration and it's violent in the wet.

cam.. i havent got LSD.. i think
but how come. it VERY violent in the wet?
i dun get..

kenny, just try it out .. do a burn out with a bit o smoke and then check for tyre marks :D

If u have your foot floored around a corner you feel the inside wheel break traction momentarily whilst the steering wheel pulls to the direction you are cornering, then feel the diff start working as it transfers power away from the inside wheel and over to the other wheel and the steering wheel stops pulling the way it was seconds before.
Normally in non lsd equipped car around a corner in the wet under hard accleration the inside wheel would lose traction and spin like crazy and you would go around the corner easily but with not much grip.....with mine it does the thing i mentioned above but then both wheels are spinning at same time and the car wants to understeer as the diff is trying to pull the car straight even though you have the wheels turned. You just have to back off the throttle and the front comes back in.
In a straight line with the LSD both wheels spinning you just have to balance it with little steering inputs to counter the effect of torque steer. it feels like you are on ice.
In the dry its totally different, the grip is awesome, around corners, in straight line, where ever you want, its there.....you can still easily spin up in 1st in straight line and around corners but 2nd gear out of a fast corner the grip is excellent.
was raining hard the otherday and i got both wheels spinning in 3rd gear at 100kph lol.
I havnt driven non lsd h22a accord to compare so whilst i think my LSD could be better ( think aftermarket quaife ) its probably a lot better than non lsd equipped h22a.

u sure this works?
i did a burn out up a 45 degree drive way and it showed 2 tyre marks. i doubt i have lsd.

well in the wet my accord steers violently as well.. and im sure i dont have LSD cos i did the "jacking up of car and spinning wheel test". and the 10 hp is all in the ECU mate lol... true i got a mechanic to do mine so yeah was no problem for me lol. :D

Some noob asked me on the forum ages ago when enquiring about the 10hp difference between and i told them it was all in the ecu.
I think any front wheel drive car with good power torque steer's pretty bad in the wet... I was driving through the m5 tunnel under the sydney airport runway, left lane, it was raining so there was puddles, I was up it for the rent, put it into 3rd gear and the passenger side wheel hit a big puddle and i shat myself as the torque steer almost pulled the car into the cement wall! Was scary lol.
