Bicycles are pretty economical, that way your eg can sit in the driveway and not use a drop of fuel ;).

But more seriously just drive like a grandma (ie not racing off every set of lights) and you'll use less fuel. Whether you use premium or regular unleaded it's not going to make a great deal of difference for your car. If I was you i'd just use regular unleaded.

VEI is the most economical.......but just keep in mind it is very low on power.

Also it is a bit of an old engine so you might not be able to put it in (because of emissions regulations)

just save up and put a b16 in....... you know you want to! In the end its an injected four cylinder, just put a pod and a nice exhaust on and it'll be plenty economical for you. But if you for whatever reason are using fuel consumption as your ENTIRE condition of purchase, go the SOHC vtec. Just whatever you do, dont put a non vtec engine in. Its more trouble than its worth. But like i say, in order to justify it go the b16. Theyre hot lol.

any injected honda engine is pretty economical. If your not happy, get it tuned to run more economical

I've got a turbo'd 1.5l injected and i get 400+km driving from 35l. Thats with the a/c spending alot of time on the wrong side of 4000rpm so they arent a bad little engine in terms of fuel efficiency.

But if your doing an engine conversion you might as well do it right the first time and go for a b16a. you'll only want one later.
