if your budget can stretch get the euro - it is more of a driver's car than the 01 accord.

it sounds like you want an accord,

but remeber to think about what you want the car for, how long you think you will keep it etc.. do you want to mod it...certain models wil be better catered for than others in the aftermarket arena...etc

i would go a newer car

but you could go a 20k car..have some dosh to upgrade it eg, audio/engine etc...

blacks a great color...i assume you have had a black car before...? otherwise be prepared to keep it looking clean...every day for the rest of your life...LOL

seriously black cars to keep looking good can take up more time than other colors too..

good luck with your choice mate..

let us know how you go !

consider the resell value of the 01 accord coz its an Ex model
also
to my knowledge, i think the 01 accord has a smoother ride.
if you could find blk 01 accord, that wil be great as it will be the last bunch of the Ex model...

you dont get the point do u ade :P you can get a black euro under 30 k a 6 speed manual, if you look around. I wouldnt reccomend the 2001 v6 because euro>the 2001v6 accord.

Go euro if you want an accord

Thanks, but it's bit hard to find accord euro in black for under $30k all of them above that and mostly the black are autos. :( i like the 2001v6 in black coz it's very rare and in Perth seems no one mods it :P
but i still cant decide euro or 2001 :P help me tell me the disadvantage and advantage of both if you guys want :P

cheers

Ok! the 2001 model accord is noisey(my mum got one). less powerful compare to the 2.3 Model. not as good looking as the Euro. the dash is less attractive. 2001 V6is a good car. but compare to the euro. I still go for the newer model. get a mannual euro. a lot more fun to drive....

i think V6 will drink fuel as if its drinking beer.
especially the fuel pricing are so high thesedays.
it cost me 80 for a full tank (1.49p/l) on my euro and took me ard 400km only

Victor1982

are you sure ??? I got a lot more ks than you . I just done 400kms with this tank of petrol.and still got more than a quarter!!!

well im driving an auto and i guess, my car has only done 3-4000km
so its not that smooth yet LOL
i have been driving so slow, turned off air con and shut all winds to juice 400km

Reagan

aDe
11-09-2005, 02:21 AM
Shit 400kms in euro that's the same as wrx :P and even twice the power hehe.
the problem is bloody hard to find 2001 model in 4cyl, i dont actually want v6 too coz it will be my daily drive :(

Std '03 Euro Manual should be around $30k or less as indicated earlier. But may have to look hard for it?

Euro is made in Japan, 2001 Accord is made in Thailand.

anyway i think 'ade' is kinda set for the 01 accord already
i dun think euro is better than 01, i will say its just as good only in different aspects

anyway
01 could look great too

Hehe, I only take the ED on the way south, never up north because it is pricey. I go through the city jam at 6:30pm :)

Just refilled today. 47.3L for 532km, at the same station as the last refill. Got my 8 cent discount at Caltex, without credit card charge :D

ade, most people here are saying euro... but you don't seem to want to accept the advice that you asked for.

The thai accord will handle like a pregnant lama when compared to the euro. :D

From 1997 onwards, the Accords, both VTiL and V6 models come from Thailand.

Could you make 2 lists telling us:
1) What you like about the 2001 Accord V6
2) What you dislike about the 2003-2005 Accord Euro?

You looking strictly at auto? Or is a manual an option? What is your budget?

umm no offence, but if the std '03 Euro manual is at $30k, i would stretch a bit to get a new one.

True. A brand new one will cost about $33000 driveaway or even 32500 if you are a super "haggler".

Ade ill post again just to help and put a message across.
"BUY THE EURO"
reason?
1.style
2.performance
3.quality
4.handling
5.equipment

Its a very good car. I own the auto euro and am very happy with it in every department no regrets.
If you are going to waste your money on 01 accord well that will be your decision. If you want a car get a good one,----------> euro.

Im surprised your even considering a v6 01 and comparing it with the euro. The euro is in a class of its own. My first car is the euro and its been a couple of years since i got it and i love it.
