where exactly is the leak coming from ? OR , are you noticing the overflow container emptying etc ?

Its not a easy DIY....i would take it back to Hannys ASAP

hay Ben

Took it to my local guy coze I thought I was just loss hoses like it was about a week ago and he fixed it for $10 but not this time

But he said its the water pump :(

yeah they quoted me $220 and I dont have it

I'm only about 2 moths off have the cash to get the whole engine rebuilt by Hannys

Will it last that long?

I really doubt it - lack of coolant only can mean bad news for a hot lil engine.

Get it done ASAP now. Besides , if you get it done now it wont have to be replaced later when you rebuild !

nah, i reckon as long as you keep filling up the water every day( and keep a bootle of water in the boot too) u should be right.

btw, have u seen how small the civic radiator is? the motor doesnt need that much cooling :)

Yeah but don't you have to remove lots of things to get to it?

I'm sure the pump would not be the problem but getting to it

Soo true!

LukeZen, when you top up.......don't top up with onlly water........make sure you top up with the 50/50 coolant/water mix or your waterpump seal will die EVEN quicker.

water corrodes over time. it doesnt effect seals. run straight water if its going to be for a short period.

I didn't know that water corrodes?

The coolant helps lubricate the seals. If the seals are worn, not adding coolant is just going to make it worse. Coolant is there for a few reasons so if you just keep adding water.....its not going to help!
