H22 Lsd

:confused: Hey gots, how do i know if i have an LSD transmission? like can some1 post the codes of the tranny or a site? cos i compared my H22 tranny to my mates one and it has diff codes. We both have h22 accords btw and hes sure hes got a h22 tranny. im sure as well cos mine came off an accord SiR. Please help.

my whole engine + tranny came off a four door 95 Accord SiR... tranny code P2T4.... whats that?

There is a good post about half way down confirming it is from an Accord SiR. However, they say that lsd was optional. So I guess the only way to tell would be testing or to physically check. They say how you can check in that thread. They also say that the gearing is shorter than the M2B4 so it should be a bit quicker.

After a lot of google searching i found out that P2T4 tranny code is JDM accord sir non LSD and T2T4 tranny code is JDM accord sir LSD. One way to be sure is too pull the axles out and if u can see through the diff its an LSD


I reckon the gearing is a bit shorter to compensate for the missing 10hp.

thanks cam, i thought the missing 10 hp was due to the ECU? im using a JDM prelude ECU also. How do you check if you got LSD physically without taking off the tranny? i mean like launching and other things, how can you tell? I dont know any with LSD to compare with unless i have it myself lol.

ahh, i thought u were using the accord UCU, my bad, looks like you have the best of both worlds, lower geared tranny and prelude ecu.

Another way to check if its LSD is to jack the front of the car up with a trolley jack on the tow point ( middle front of car on the crossmember) so both wheels are lifted off the ground, stick the car in gear and turn one of the wheels by hand. If the other one wheel spins the same direction as the wheel you are turning, you have LSD. If the other wheel spins the opposite way to the one you are turning or if it doesnt spin at all you, you dont LSD tranny.

cool thanks man. yeah i knew the accord SiR ECU was sh*t so i told them to lob in a JDM prelude one.. so i dont lose the extra hp. thanks dude.. i'll check my car soon. if you see this spoon accord.. u can do it too lol. or we can do it together ;)

okay guys i did what cam told me to do... it turns out that i :( *cries* dont have LSD. i guess i was unlucky and got my P2T4 from some cheapo who didnt want LSD as an option lol. thanks guys for all ur help.
