ok ive owned my car for a little while now but no shit, when i fill up, doesnt matter where, i always have to fill up kinda slowly, without too much presssure or else it stops(that clicking noise). my mate reckons its got to do with the angle of the piping leading to the petrol tank, so im always standing there trying one angle left to right, then another then another... pain in the ass when all i could be doing is standing there

anyone else experience this? got a good angle to fill up on? lol

nothing to do with ur Dc2R

all bousers have different pressures in which they release the fuel....

man I have this problem too, I have only managed to get it right twice (only filled up about 7 times though) but ye mine keeps clicking off, takes much longer than it should do.

I think it has to do with the angle of the piping, because the delso has a steep drop into the fuel tank

Dont put the nozzle in all the way pointing down. Instead push down on the handle and it should fit naturally,... does this make sense? Play around with it till it doesnt click

with mine(dc2) u cant push it in al the way...i think i rest the handle bit of the petrol pump on the edge where the bottom of the tank lid would close so the actual nossel sits about half way in the tank inlet thingy....

like others said... put the nozzle in 3/4 of the way and push the handle down so the nozzle points higher and u shouldnt have any problems...

LOL @ petrol filling noobs.

lol...
you're not supposed to slam the thing in it like your in bed
be gentle :) nah petrol stations have some shit where you're not supposed to just push it in the whole way, have it so it just sits there should be like horizontal the handle that is and should fill normally, it clicks cos you've put the pump in too much

alter ego:

when i do it i go 3/4 of the way and then i have my back facing the car and i face the bowser. im not sure why but im guessing its how im putting pressure onto the lever, but it works all the time. i would get times where i would get click click click... then i would turn around and it would be fine. wierd.

put the fuel nozzel in, then rest it which causes the lifting of the nozzel inside the fuel pipe, then fill.

ROFL

Well this is straight from the horses mouth about the clicking "problem" (lol), i once asked one of the guys at the servo about why i was clicking when filling up and the dude says i had to push down on the handle so to let air out of the tank as it was filling up.
So my noob brother, i was like you once, dont be ashamed.
Push down on the handle so it creates a little gap for air to be released.
What ever the thoery is, pushing down works fine.

And yes, not all servos have this problem.

Lol, "noob petrol fillers", hahahhahahahhaha
