How much has everyone paid for their services

1000km?
10000km?

ive just had my 1000km and the prices varied quite a fair bit, in sydney anyway.

just a word of warning, Scotts Honda is a rip off.

I think if you take it back to where you bought the car from, it's always a rip off, but you have to take it back as part of the new car warranty :(

As soon as your warranty is up, do it yourself :)

I do the minors myself, my last major including a timing belt change ended up being around $250 or so i think.

It can be quite difficult to find someone to do good work at a decent price

Sounds pretty good poid, but the only problem i have with self service is the things honda do that you cant, like suspension tightening etc and things they get as bulletins that you dont know about.

i had a civic vti-r coupe b4 the accord and serviced it at the dealer every 10000km but did an oil change myself every 5000km.

Isn't the 1000km service free?

nope, its subsidised by honda aust. but you have to pay for the consumables:
i paid $75

eh i do suspension tightening anyway seeing as i'm swapping the shit out every month or so at the moment LoL

Bulletins i *think* you can now get from the Honda Australia website when you register there, and also they send you letters if there is anything major.

But i havent had anything go wrong with doing it the way i do for the last 3 three years, even though i've added bits and played around with it.

What are the service intervals anyway?

Can anyone recommend or warn against any particual Honda dealers regarding service work? Ive many serviced my hondas at Rick Damilian and have been very happy with their work.

Any other stories out there? Good or otherwise.

I'd imagine Rick Damelian to offer great hospitality and customer service!! His showroom is like really posh!!

i used to get my done at Rick Damelian and Scotts Honda, both of which were very good... however they charge and arm and a leg.

but u have a Euro, which is new...

I just got my Euro, had a Civic VTI-R coupe b4 that, everytime i serviced my car i called Scotts and rick as they were the most convinient. Scotts always charged more and did a crappy job.

They also charge more for assesories and parts, i sent a filthy letter to them about it and their lack of customer service when i bought my euro from them and the MD called me and wrote back, they offered 5% discount on services and i told them were to go, considering they charge 35% more, 5% doesnt mean anything.

Minor service:
scotts = $270
Rick = $230

Major:
Scotts = $895
Rick = $675

if ur in syd take it to Hanny's :D

its $120 for majors, $50 for the 5000km service.

mate, unless u own hanny, i won't even advised the price, i mean...have you consider if everyone rock up to ur business saying u charge $10 for service(just an example).....if u get my drift.

i reckon we shld be fair in saying, " this is what i paid for the last time ....and i use this oil or i brought my own... blah blah....but speak to this shop"
