My car have just been repaired after an accident in June. everything is ready but one so i am seeking some advice here.

There is a problem with the battery or the alternator. The car seems to just sqeeze the batteries dry. The mechanic tried putting in a new battery and it drained that too. It just doesn't recharge. If he tries to take the battery off, the alarm just goes off crazy. IT strange coz it drains the battery so fast, it can't even drive for longer than 200m. The engine light on the dash comes on also.

So far, thats all the information i know, anyone can give me a few pointers in case the mechanic can't figure out why? I haven't seen my baby for almost 3 months now, its all ready to pick up tomorrow besides this problem. IF there is anyone who can help me that will be great.

thats kinda of what the mechanic said, i dunno. I m praying its just the alt not grounded properly. Right now, they are having the battery on slow charge, hoping its a battery fault. Coz it i need to change alternators, that means another 2-3 weeks before i can get my baby back.

its usually the bushes that go and theyre cheap as chips but an auto electrician will charge u hell for em

well won't they have to order one? or are they universal?

never thought alternators need changing in a car's life time.

BTW the alarm will be running off its own battery when the car battery goes dead. you should have a key so you can turn it off from the siren

maybe take it back to the place that fixed the car and ask them to fix it since it only happened after u took the car off them
