worst....problem...ever!

my fuel gauge sucks balls, i dont kno what the heck is wrong wiht it, when im COMPLETLY fill it its still just off full, and at around 280ks into the fuel (normalish driving) its on empty! and i crusie with it to near 400 then get scared im gonna run out :P

so how can i fix this mofo of a problem? and how many K's do people get out of a tank?

ive got a spare fule guage if you think it could be that? talking LS right?
I just recently changed over to a JDM cluster
I filled up today put 47.6Ltrs in it and its a 50Ltr tank it was below the red by about 1/2 a millameter I came close
I get the most millage outa the last quater accroding to the guage
they never work 100%
Outa this tank I got 370Km's but thats on vtec as well
my original motor was never ova 350km's thats with hard driving

yeah fuel guages r neva accurate. i filled up full tank last week n got 552kms b4 i filled it up again, and it was about a mill under red. with my old car it would go about a qauter tank under red b4 ide have to fill up. just count ur kms and fill up when eva its cheap

Yeah reset trip meter when you fill up and go by the kms!

thats what i do atm. i was gonna get a jerry can wiht some fuel, and run my car till its ran outta fuel to see the K's, but im not gonna get through a whole tank by friday, coz on fri i lose my licence for 3 months :(

Hey Cold Fusion I know its been a while but how did you go with running to empty?

I was just thinking; its not good for the car because you will get all the sediment at the bottom of the tank sucked in and may block the filter!

i got to i think it was 430 and then my car cut out (had to be in the middle of an intersection didnt it) and yeh hehe it was ok, since my new engine, ive still benen getting around the same 400ish, but i herd some people get like, 500ks and stuff out fo the tank? HOW! heh

My 89 EF Civic GL does 200km half tank and then 60 - 70 the rest of the way... WTF... Ohh and there are no fuel lights in the EF Civics...

So Now I bought a Jerry-Can, filled it, tied it down in my boot and will drive until I stop :thumbsup: ...

Need to buy a funnel ...

I get 600ish km's from a tank in my LS if i take it easy, normally about 500... best is 630km, worst is 350km (non stop hard driving) :) its 100% stock with just under 250,000kms

duno wats wrong with yur car kallan and some other guys getting under 400 a tank..

i easily get 500 out of a tank using BP Ultimate or Caltex Vortex. Then wen i do fill up its about 43-46ltrs. I go by Km's coz u can never trust the damn gauge.. wen my car is full it sits about 4/5 sometimes.
