hey im just wondering about the jdm 4-1 and audm 4-2-1 itr header
are they both the same quality?
ive heard that the jdm is 2.5" and aus is 2.25" any reason to that?
but in retrospect they both give gains at top and mid end respectively?
tossing up to buying some jdm or aus headers
got a 99' vti-r
cheers

Dont even bother with AUDM ITR headers, theyre only lighter than VtiR nothing else.

audm are not cast,
i got a set for my gsi for a 100 bucks felt the difference straight way, and the engine reved and sounded angrier.
audm are ssteel and weigh bout 7kg.
but if your looking at paying retail price get jdm. but for 100buck and the gain i got it was well worth it.
they are only temporary anyways.
look at my profile photos theres a photo of them

agreed...audm is not cast, the headers show individual tubular piping (unlike stock vtir, which is a huge "blob" of metal) made of stainless steel

and yes headers alone provide good gains by itself, mroe once catback installed

what gains do TypeRs get from just the header change from aus to jdm??

Realistically, about 2-5kw.

what bout with tuning?

Tuning would depend on what other mods you may have, if it's just the header you're adding I wouldn't bother with tuning.

Btw, I'd better clear up that comment before, I meant about 2-5kw at the wheels.

sound good
i was looking at hte header test page and i think valua for money are the DC 4-1 they are a exact copy of jdm's but they get 3 extra hp and torque but they cost like 200 dolars less
