Hi Guys,
I need to replace my thermostat since it does not open in boiling water. I would like to know if I need to apply any liquid gasket on the rubber seal. And if I do, what type? Do you have any recommendations?

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Regards,

John

try "loctite" brand blue sealant. OR maybe honda-bond (grey stuff ?)

i changed my thermostat not to long ago and just used the gasket that was on it. that did the job.
although would be good to get extra sealent!:D

make sure you use sensor safe sealant.

Many thanks Ben. When I took the thing out i thought i saw some plastic crap left behind. it probably just aged rubber. Thanks for the DIY stuff as well.
