I have a '79 Accord. The owners & workshop manual say to use a 10/40 or 15/40 oil in the gearbox ( which would be engine oil ?).
Oil manufacturers catalogues say to use eg a 75/80 or eg castrol vmx80 gearbox oil-which would be much thicker than the engine oil I guess.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what is the correct oil to use in the 5sp manual gearbox?
