View Full Version : Vtir Roof Cutting Off!

has anyone got sick of there vtir sunroof and wanted it type r style and tried to remove it? so they have a normal roof with no sunroof? if so how much would it cost. did you cut and replace the roof or just fill it in with eg: firbreglass and respray. :confused:

i like vtir but hate the sunroof. :thumbdwn:

he said he wanted a sunroot not had one... from what i understood... but cant your just replace the roof panel rather than fill it in?

Yes you can change the entire roof. You just need someone that is VERY GOOD with welding and the rest can be taken care of by professional panel beaters/spray painters.

Yeah I said I wish I could get it from factory lol.

if its about weight just save the money it would cost to get it all done and buy some lightweight jdm rims....should lose the same if not more weight =)...

sun roof is good - if the dc2r came with a stock sun roof i be way happy.

Are you wanting to remove the sunroof to increase headroom, stiffness or decrease weight? Best off changing cars I think.

I have actually seen a kit for the DA9 tegs which replaces the entire sunroof with a Carbonfibre panel, and it also includes seals and all the bits nessesary to cover up the Hole.

Saves weight too! :D

That's the exact thing that anoys me about DC2R's... $25K and no sunroof? you gotta be kidding...

and as for all you fan boys screaming "its not race with a sunroof" i bet most of your DC2R's will never see the track, so save it :)
