18x7.5 will be fine with +40 offset

18x8 will be fine too but you will need to roll your guards.

a friend of mine fitted 18x8 on a jazz without any problem
And I just fitted 19x8 on a lancer (with guards rolled)

depends whehter its lowered or not

operating onthe presumption that civic/crx boht have similar wheel clearances, i scraped hardcore on 16.7 rims+42 offest...but my car is lowered

simple fix isto either remove mud guards or roll guards
