Does the stock size of 'cats' differ from EJ's, EK's, EM's & DC's or are they all the same size (lengths)???

Do they vary in size? If so which are the same and which aren't? Are EJ, EK & DC 'cats' interchangeable with EM's?

Has anyone had first hand experience with this?

I know JDM cats are shorter than AUDM.
So te piping would be longer than stock AUDM hondas.

So if u get a JDM catback zorst, u need a diff cat.

my stock cat pictured above is on an EM1 (made in america), but bought here in oz.......would my car be considered as AUDM or a USDM? from what i've learned - all civic coupes (EJ's/EM's) are made in the USA and hatchbacks and sedans are made in Japan.

remember ian i was talking to you last meet?
and i told you that when i got my exhaust put on they modified the aftermarket cat due to the Vision system being for JDM cars.

 yes yes i remember.........although i was assured/guaranteed that it would bolt on direct to my stock cat, the trader who i bought it off had just bolted his exhaust straight on to his stock cat, on his civic vti coupe.

speaking of cats, does anyone know where to get them from, what are good cats, are there any difference in performance and how much? its for an ITR DC2 to be put on a Toda header 4-2-1.

Depends which Toda header you're ordering. They make at least two different types - one to fit 96 spec jdm cat, and another to fit 98 spec jdm cat.

No, I think you misunderstood. I'm talking about the part that connects to your catalyst.

All of them fit the exhaust outlets of the block.

Then you can count on Adrian knowing which is the right one for you. Just be sure to find out which cat you have and let him know beforehand.

Toda header should give you a 7-9 kw gain atw (on a stock standard dc2r with high flow cat).

Yup.

I'll post pics of the audm and jdm cat when I get home (more like tomorrow night actually), you're most likely to have an audm cat which you should replace with a better flowing cat.

Bringing up this old old thread as i'm researching about my cat.

Is the EK1 sedan cat 6" or 12" or 16" in length?
trying to find a bolt on test pipe for it.

Sorry for maybe going off course with the thread but what brands are good to look at getting and brands that you should avoid getting??

Would like some information on what to look for when getting a Cat. especially if i'm after a hi flow cat.

i think getting metal high flow cats are better than ceramic ones. im getting a venom one from this guy in melb for decent price.

I saw those venom branded cats on a website. Still unsure if they are good quality or not.
