hi,

I am going to put a k&n air intake kit, but i've looked around and not sure which one will fit my honda integra gsi 98 model. Can anyone advise on which one will fit?

I've searched the forums and nothing and looked at sites and didn't find anything.

thanks!

i'm not sure, it is either 3" or 2.5", you can get a universal kit with one of the sizes mentioned, just give autobarn local store a call, they will tell you which one will be able to fit in

i spoke with the guy at Autobarn, and he spoke to Rocket Ind (who distribute k & n air intake kits) and said only ONE PRODUCT will fit my car, the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit. They charging me $589. Can someone tell me what they've told me is correct information?
If anyone else has a Honda Integra GSI 1998 or has a good air take kit, let me know what you have and your opinion.

what the heck does a FUEL INJECTION performace kit have to do with a K&N AIR intake?? Maybe thats some crazy special name for a pod but i just priced one out in REPCO and they were $140

just get the regular K&N POD with 3" intake, Put it into the orignal air box or just make up a cold Air box. If u want bling, put a somata chrome intake pipe back to throttle body or just put onto your original black intake hose.
IF u dont care about the possibility of gettin defected just jam the filter onto the black intake piping and whulla, (ive had no probs with mine like that) ..

A K&N Air intake!!! peice O cake...

So you guys saying just get a k&n pod filter and mount it? what about the air intake piping? would it be better with the chrome piping or the stock intake hose?

Also, could someone tell me what are the differences between a standard k&n pod filter that costs about $90 compared to this one http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=57-3506 which costs a few hundred dollars? (quoted by autobarn $579)

The differance is this
KN57-3509 HONDA INTEGRA TYPE-R FIPK KITB18C 1998-ON
http://www.rocketindustries.com.au/images/brands/kn%20filters/KN57-3509.jpg
Vs
KNRE-0950 3-1/2 CLAMP-ON TAPERED FILTER 6/4-5/8 O.D, 6 HIGH
http://www.rocketindustries.com.au/images/brands/kn%20filters/KNRE-0950.jpg

You get the Intake pipe as well as all fittings and a heat shild
worth the extra hundreds

yeah i kind of figured that out, but i may not have stated clearly what i wanted answer.

http://www.knfilters.com/search/pro...px?Prod=57-3506 costs about $579.

vs

k&n standard pod filter costs $90

does the http://www.knfilters.com/search/pro...px?Prod=57-3506 come with the piping, hosing, and fittings? cause on the website, i don't see any picture of the piping, hosing etc.

Also the one you've mentioned to me is KN57-3509. I was talking about KN57-3506.

search the net theres a site that compares all intakes and k&n intake doesnt perform that flash hey.
and aluminium pipes get a lot hotter than the thick rubber 1 the car comes with.
unless you have 100% proof infront of ur eyes that you will pick up power dont waste your money man.
go to a performance workshop with a dyno and ask if you can test the intake system before you buy it as opesed to standard.

chrome piping if u want looks, rubber or silicone if u want performance, but make sure u put in a heat sheild of both legalities as well as performance.

locote: so k&n don't perform all that flash eh? what do you recommend? I read about AEM , and reviews about them and they seem not too bad either..

im going to get my k&n air filter tomorrow. I have a 3inch pipe in length and width, is it a good setup to put the piping connected to the hosing, and then the other end the air filter?
why only 3 inch piping? thats all i have at the moment.
