ED Mid Rear Wing [Archive]

Thinking about getting the OEM mid rear wing on my '88 ED6 hatch. But only going to get it, if it does something. So would it make a difference to downforce? Its going on a track car and will see high speeds regularly, and a lot of high speed corners.

Anyone had any experience with and without? Or knows of any info that will help me?

i hate mid wings and i doubt it would do much.. imo i dont think it would help air flow at the rear

i love mid-wings, they look fantastic, especially on a ed. they arent going to do a thing though, unless you had a big ****-off one like a group a rally car

Mid wings are damn sexy, I doubt your car goes fast enuff to need extra down force tho ;) just kidding. I think if you're serious you need to get a gt wing, before you all piss yourselves laughing at my my suggestion I've seen it on a Starlet GT and it look hawt!!!

It's not that crash hot in the looks stakes IMO. Kind of looks tacked on. It has minimal funtion as well. If you want one, contact Peter at Hanny's I think he still has one. Get a SiR top spoiler instead, they are sexier than the Aust spec ones.

yeah, the one half way down the hatch.

I do like the looks of them, but if it doesn't do much then I got other things to worry about first. And by the sounds of it, it doesn't do much. I will worry about it later once everything else is done then.

you see alot of EG's with these mid wings.. not a fan..
