hi i have a b18c7 block which im going to bore out to 84mm because i bought these 84mm je pistons , now im not to sure but will i need to get a 84mm headgasket? cause standard is 81mm.. and if so how think should the head gasket be, plus will the b18c2 head fit on with out any issues?

Yes you will need a 84mm headgasket, or bore out a stock gasket from 81mm to 84mm.
Thickness should be .60" (standard)

b18c2 head will fit too.

but you need to be aware theat the intake manifold bolt pattern is different... (as well as teh coolant piping outlets)

are you going to bore stock sleeve to 84mm?

stock sleeves and 84mm would be a no no! if it was sleeved you could bring it out a little further than that. i have 85mm gaskets here only..

and i HOPE you plan to match the cylinder head diameter to the bore diameter also!

My friend is planning something similar but not that extreme. Just 81 to 82mm bore, does he have to bore his cylinder head to match?

i didnt do it, but i am running relatively low compression... (10:1)

so i have to bore out the head as well?

yes, it will help with resistance to detonation.

Also, round all sharp edges of the piston tops, especially vavle reliefs, by hand with some lightsandpaper, careful to be evenly removing material.
