View Full Version : Is JAZZ DSI & VTEC has the same header..?

I got confuse now, some people told me that I can use the header from Jazz DSI on my Vtec car, or in other words the exhaust manifold between this 2 engines are the same, anybody, please help.

The parts are indeed interchangeable...

Thanks, anything else can be interchageble, especially with other type of Honda engine..?

The new civic will be an L Series engine also I think so might be more interchangable parts when it arrives.

the header is exactly the same but, the exhaust size diameter is different iDSI is 38.1mm while the VTEC is 42.7mm. the volume of the muffrer is increase from 8ltr to 10 ltr....

wow... meaning that changing the header for iDSI would have more effect on VTEC....

for me, you just need to replace the header for VTEC, but for iDSI you need to change the whole parts.... Honda make it different bacause the exhause flow rate from VTEC and iDSI is also differ, 55 liters per second increase from 50 ltr/sec (iDSI)
