Hey guys
As you guys may or may not know, i purchased carbon fibre window trim from yoram (yfin) as he did not want them anymore. (thanks again yoram  )
I put it on, and after V205 put up pics of the carbon fibre centre console, this has inspired me to do some DIY jobbies of my own
I bought a long roll of carbon fibre vinyl film to do the interior centre console + cupholder lids + the bit that surrounds the gearknob.
I've also decided to carbon fibre the petrol lid. hahaha ive got nuts!

i'll put up pics when i get around to doin it (which would be next week sometime)

put strips of it down the creases in the bonnet...

"its a custom painted CF bonnet"

"wow bet that cost a bucketload!"

"yea nearly as much as the genuine mugen kit"

:D:D:D

Glad you like the window trim  - I have been spending too much on the Euro recently, new tyres, Euro R kit, suspension and was only ho-hum on the trim anyway (although it is much better quality than the stick on trim we have in Australia).

Look forward to seeing some pics of the DIY trim.

I guess carbon Fibre look wall paper is a bit better looking than the dark blue marble trim in my silver Euro. Show us the pic, maybe you will inspire me to do the same too.

just wondering, woudl this stuff stick onto fabric?

and how does it "feel" given that its vinyl. Is it hard and plasticky? or is it actually soft and flexible?

i wanan do my armrests, my centre console and cupholders

cheers

peeps dont ruin our euros interiopr with carbon film.... think in a years time when its faded or worn through and you have to remove it.... leaving sticky shit everywhere.

sorry my 2 cents worth (not flamin ya stephen  )

1. Remove all dirt, bugs, etc. Just about any cleaner will work here. If you use anything ammonia based, be sure you remove ALL traces of it before you continue.
2. Spray the surface with a touch of dish washing soap added to plain water. Be sure the area you will be sticking the decal to is mostly wet.
3. Remove Vinyl piece from the paper. Use a razor to lift the Vinyl off the paper instead of using a fingernail. Pull it off slowly, being careful not to tear it.
4. Apply the Vinyl to the wet surface. You should be able to slide it into position while it is still wet.
5. Push out any bubbles with your finger. If you start to form any wrinkles, lift an end of the vinyl piece up and push the wrinkle out.
6. Use a blow dryer on your vinyl piece. This will allow it to stretch and conform to most curves. As you blow heat on it, push out any wrinkled edges or bubbles.
7. Trim off any excess decal with a razor. Now repeat from step 3 until every vinyl piece has been applied.
8. Note, if any bubbles are left, poke with a small needle while still wet.
Allow for plenty of dry time. Let it sit in the hot sun or use a blow dryer to speed up the process.

timbo, its cool man  the reason why im trying it out is just that i have spare centre console lid with the cupholder lids and the bit that surrouds the gearstick, along with the ciggarette ashtray lid too. i have these parts spare with me so if it doesnt work out, i have the original to put back on anyway
