hi guys

im driving a stock dc2 vtir atm, and ive had a del sol before

both cars wouldnt engage vtec until the car was warm

but on my friends dc2r, and my girlfriends ctr, they both have vafc's, and i can engage vtec as soon as i turn on the car (yes i realise its bad for the car, but it was for experimental purposes =P), and i can even engage vtec in neutral.

so do vafcs (and other vtec controllers) wait for the car to be warmed before enabling vtec ?

No they don't, they have no option what so ever to control any cold start parameters.
