I know this is from the 6 vs. euro vs. liberty thread, but since it's been relocated, some people might not see this interesting video.

[29.6mb mpg file]
http://rapidshare.de/files/4942789/honda_Accord_Type-S_235.mpg.html

its a video of the instrument cluster of a completely stock Honda Accord Euro 2.4 Type-S (european model) accelerating from 80kmh->235kmh (max speed) from 2nd to 6th gear

enjoy!:D

i cant seem to be able to d/l that file
-scroll to the bottom of the link, and click "Free"
-wait until ur download ticket is ready (usually a min. or two)
-when it is ready you should see: Download: honda_Accord_Type-S_235.mpg (http://dl7.rapidshare.de/files/4942789/47441364/honda_Accord_Type-S_235.mpg)
-right click->save as (do not use a download accelerator- it won't work)

hope that helps

I've downloaded it, but everytime I want to play it, my player crashes (Windows Media Player and Real Player). Is anyone having the same problem?

I have no problem playing it but I think the video is out of sequence. Look at the Mileage on the meter, it is not consistent. and what is the point really? It takes forever to go to 235km/h, most car can do it over time anyway.

It's an mpeg2 file. That's why it gives computers the shits. Someone should recompress it to divx or xvid and rehost.

yes, the video is out of sequence. the producer of the video said that himself. his camera could only take video in certain chunks of time, so he had to stitch them together.

what is the point of the video? im not sure if there is any point, but I thought some euro owners might be interested in watching the video, so i gladly decided to share it with ppl on ozhonda. if u want, i'll keep all the videos/pics/info ive posted to myself in the future? it seems like most of you are having problems downloading it anyway.

and yes, it does take forever to go to 235kmh, but at least it can- i wouldn't say most comparable cars can do 235kmh. im sorry- we all aren't fortunate enough to have S2000's you know..

If only we had the equivalent of the Autobahn here linking major cities... gah..... Imagine, a highway that links Sydney with Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Melbourne to Adelaide and then from Adelaide to Perth. Yummy and expensive! haha

I've tired that once....I won't say where.

It's not had to go over 200km/h in the Euro and 230km/h is a piece of cake. It does take a while (maybe over 30 sec, can't remember), but it gets there, and still pretty stable. Pitty the road wasn't as smooth as I expected....
