A1 Round 2, from Germany.

All in one day!
F1 is on a a normal hour as well, straight after the V8's!

Yep I only watch one race in full of the V8's, and I get into it too! Back to back with the F1.....BOOYA!

Takes a lot to sit on that couch for a full day for me, but im up for the challenge hehe

the thing with V8s.. there are only 2 car manufacturers in the competition. and those cars are the cars that we see everysecond everytime we go out. and im totally surrounded with Holden/ford owner neighbours

I hate to admit, V8 Stupercars are actually pretty bloody quick. But it's V8 Stupercars, the whole concept sucks. We need good sportscars, real sportscars, not BS modified family cars. Sportscars for boys to dream about and old bald men to own (they're the only ones who can afford them), not sportscars the man with a wife and 2 young kids buys. WTF?

Awesome day of telly. Cricket, F1, A1GP, soccer and Superbikes all on the one night!
And if it absolutely pisses down with rain then I'll watch the V8s.

I raise my hand to having the jgtc come over and do bathurst!!! they think they get spectators for the v8s! imagine the amount they would get with the jgtc and the car show off track too!!! that would be the shizzit

Whats wrong with V8 Supercars...? It's a very exciting series and the cars are pretty goddam fast....

enough with the "modified family car/they look like the cars we see everyday" nonsense, the V8 supercars aren't modified family cars at all, they're race cars with a shell designed to look like a modified family car, nothing more. I bet the only standard thing they start with of the original car is the bare chassis.

and in case no-one noticed, we don't exactly drive rare cars ourselves, and some of those "family cars" are as quick as ours or quicker.

And yes they are fast, and yes they are good to watch, and yes Bathurst is awesome, and no, i don't watch any other V8 races.

having said that, i'd love to see something more along the lines of GT Performance, combined with nations cup.

Oops, I called them "modified family cars". I dont think they share any parts at all. Not even the chasis. Maybe a badge or two. I just dont like the concept. I want to see people showing off sportscars or creating fair-dinkum race-cars not under the guise of a performance family car.
I dont argue that the V8s are not fast... they're as quick as the 250cc GP bikes around Phillip Island so we know they're quick. Doesn't mean they're not boring though for a multitude of reasons. Mainly the image and who they're trying to appeal to.

I agree... theyr obviously targeted towards a market consisting of beer-drinking, beer-drinking, KFC eating men.. and to me, that kinda a turn off..

Haha but il still be watching.. think Ford might take it this yr.

The JCTC cars looks way better than the V8 supercars we have. The cars are really pretty fast but just not that good looking. And what's with the Ford v.s Holden every year? Wouldn't it be nice if we had more than 2 brands competing? Sure would make it a lot more exciting.

yeah JGTC would be awesome here. Isn't it called Super GT or something these days, seeing as they have events in malaysia n china? When they went to America to do a showcase, the D1GP boys went along as a support race thing. How cool would that be? JGTC and D1GP in the one event :D

who won the a1gp race? and v8s are far more entertaining than f1 altho that was one of the best races of the f1 season i got so bored watching it... normally its fun to watch... but not when it was directly after v8s :S

France with Nicholas Lapierre won both races, and Nelson Piquet set the fastest laps in both races. Christian Jones in the Aussie car was horrible and was 17th and 16th I think.

christian jones shouldnt even be in the car! his dad alan may have been a world champ but he had a great car that season and was pretty much shit in anything else! go back to the other driver please for australias sake

after watchin 7 hrs of the V8s the F1 felt like it went for 5mins.

The F1 would have been boring if not for Alonso and Raikkonen starting from the back. They were so much faster than everyone. I cant believe how much faster!
The V8s was interesting at the end, but only 'cos the Safety Car kept closing up the gaps. They should just bring out the Safety Car every 10 laps so no-one gets too much of a lead. Then the racing will be much closer.

it was a bloody good day, out on a mates boat, then back in for some bathurst, then out on the boat again for some more laps. Couldnt of been better!
Can't wait till next year:D

Christian Jones is a great example of "look what my daddy got me".

I can't see the logic in putting him in the car after Will Power came 2nd in the last race. Will did nothing wrong, if Jones is racing at Eastern Creek i'm running on the track and going to "hurt" Alan!
