Hi all,

My clutch is making a clicking sound then I press it in and releasing . I have heard about people having squeaking sound and the solution to that is the master cylinder It doesn't seem to be anything major and the car is driving as it normal does.
It seems to be around the friction point when releasing the clutch.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is??

Btw I own DC5R

I have the same problem, but people told me it's the cv joints not clutch.

It's annoying but I dont feel to fix it yet.

hmmm so far I haven't had that problem with my car. Maybe try some Wd-40? lol

I have a clicking sound when my car is on idle
if I put my foot on the clutch with abit of pressure
the noise goes away, I think my problem is the clutch bearing
as I have new CV fitted recently

WD40 doesn't fix the problem, and u don't want it to get near the clutch area.

my clutch pedal does have a bit of a click within about the first inch of movement, not sure what it is but i pretty sure it wouldn't be the cv joints, probably just the linkages.

Could be the thrust bearing boys and girls, i had mine done when the gearbox was re-built. Not a very expensive problem!!

i also have this clicking problem but i have a civic and its not when i idle or anything it happens when i fully press in the clutch and let it out again, it clicks both times but mostly only when i press it down, it just started yesterday. does this actually do anything to the car?

could be pressure plate or release bearing in the clutch...try flushing your clutch fluid for a start and replace with fresh fluid - might fix the problem.

i've had my major service about a month ago, so yeah fluids will be fairly new, and the sounds coming from the inside of cabin above my feet somewhere up in there, sounds like a mouse click

Could be clutch assist spring, might need some grease.

I've got the same problem. I hear a click when i press the clutch in all the way on idle, and when i release the clutch it also makes a click.

Whatever it is, it don't sound healthy but i'm getting my major 100,000km service done next week so i'll mention it to my mechanic and will let u guys know of the result.

Ps mine makes a noise even when car is switched off!!!
