Just yesterday i was driving and noticed this rattling sound coming from beneath
the car. The noise only appears every time i let go off the throttle. Im guessing theres something wrong with my exhaust system? Anyone have this problem before?

yeah when i let go of the throttle after hitting 4000rpm, its like making a crackling noise, my friends say its ok but i was thinking it might be something else. *shrugs*

rattling? could just be the heat shiled around the exhaust being loose... or the CAT is also a possible culprit...
rather than stab in the dark put her up on a hoist and knock around and see if anything is loose...

It's difficult to guess off the bat, best bet is to do as type_one says and get under there to take a look.

Just went to the mechanics today and there is nothing wrong with the exhaust system. He says that it might be the brakes because when i drive you can hear the knocking noise, but then when i brake it goes away.

problem fixed! found out that it was only the shocks that needed replacing. ended up using my mates VTi-R shocks. anyone know if they are the same?
