View Full Version : Question about a sound system in boot

Quick question, ive already got a fusion amp and a box with 2 10" subs in it, thats in my boot, but i want to put more in there, problem is, i wont be able to get my spare tyre out if i get a flat.
Any suggestions???

lol mate.. if you want a big system.. throw your spare away.. n use that space for more volume, also member to face subs to boot, Compound loading.. (better bass)

or make a Mobile Box.. amp and subs , easy take in n out

a guy at my work suggested to bolt everything to the back seats, and when u need the spare, fold the back seats down, and the system rises
good idea or not??

lol, i think he only ment about the 2 subs i have now
i want my boot to look nice with the sound system, not just a boot with a box sitting in the middle

get rid of the two10'' subs and go for a decent 12'' i had 2 10'' and up graded too a single 12'' JL w3 and its INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! and i have heaps more room now too and turst me i need room too fit my wheelchair in the boot. good luck mate

thanks for the tip devil, might consider that, i got the 10's for free anyways, so ill keep them untill i blow 'em lol :D

and when you turn it up really loud make sure you keep all the windows up for full effect.



like dhdevil said, i would take the 10s out and put in 2 x 12s, just sell the 10s cheap if you got em for free.

get 2 x 12" RF ps1s. 300 each, they rip shit in my civic... good price aswell,

You could hinge the floor section of your install from the rear of your boot floor and use either a rod to prop it open in much the same way that you would a bonnet or you could use gas struts to keep it open like on a hatch... it would take some clever design but it's been done before..
