has anyone got a thinner metal headgasket for their cars ???
if so how much power u get afta doing that ??
and wat brand is the gasket ?
greddy and cometic make thinner gaskets. usually ur looking at a maximum of .5" comp comps increasew with the thinnest gasket they make.

compression doesn't convert to hp directly does it
how much would a .5 compression increase change hp?

yeah it does.. the high compression the better bang which in the end comes with more power.

true but there r other things i think can be done first. if i blew a head gasket id prolly get a thinner one. but not swap it for no reason. lol

Personally I would only be doing this if you had the chance, like if you had the head off, rebuilding, etc...
But yeah, generally a thinner head gasket will increase comp by about .2, which will give you about about 2 or 3 kw @ wheels.
If you want to check out how much your comp will increase check out this site:

is it better to wait to ur headgasket actually blows before replacing or is it better to do it like a timing belt and fix in advance?

i'd prefer blown headgasket to broken timing belt! :D
