Hi All,

I plan to tackle my amp and sub install in the boot of my del sol and want advice on the following.

I don't want to drill into the body of the car so does anyone know of any good spots in the boot of these Del Sols to earth to?

Also any tips for running my power cable to the boot would be helpful. I don't want to have to take it to get installed at some shop as I think I could do just as well by myself... I just want any advice or tips on the above!

Cheers,

Jez

mate I found a very good place to earth the amp, you can mount the earth on the inside cabin wall after the rear binnacles are removed, on the black metal that houses the rear window when its down. I mountd it with a gold plated clip under and exiting bolt, nice and clean and out of site

Also with the power cable, assuming ur running the amp in the boot, the engine bay has exising holes to run it through, so thats cool getit to the front under the dash, run it along the passenger door, underneath the black plastic along the door trim, and up through the rear binnacles. Then go into the hole that exist as an access point to the boot on the drivers side, (you will be able to see the hole once you have removed the carpet in the boot.

If your running components I installed those in the passenger side binnacle, looks nice and neat!

All done...

I ended up earthing to one of the gas struts that lifts the roof cradle thing...where it was bolted to the body at the bottom. It's working (So far... knocking on wood) and my battery asn't died so I assume it's all good. Lost alot of boot space with the box though, might have to search for a smaller box.

Cheers!
