I have a poineer headunit 7750 which i have hooked up to an amp to the remote wire which on the pioneer headunit is also the antenna trigger. I have done a search on the forum and there has been some talk about having a switch but i am still confused.
Any ideas how i cant solve this problem. I have a integra 1994 model where the antenna comes up automatically when u swtich on the radio. THanks

there should be a antenna wire from the back of the deck too, the remote and power atenna wires are two different wires!!!!

Joe, you dont know Pioneer then if you say that hahahahahahaha
Pioneer have only ever had ONE (1) trigger from their bottom end all the way up to their top of the range, they absolutely SUCK only having one trigger wire :(
pintorulz, you have to put a switch inline with the trigger wire going to the antenna, PM me your email address and I'll draw you up a diagram how to do it, also let me know what car you want to attach it to, I might be able to help you out with the wire unless you already know which one is the antenna trigger wire...

wat do u mean by inline switch?
so would this mean u can only have amp or radio on at any given time?

switch conntected to the trigger wire cutting the antenna trigger so when your playing cd's your antenna (if external, not on glass) doesnt stay up...

with tegs and pioneer its difficult with antenna.
there is only 1 remote cable coming from back of head unit. This will lead to anteanna. When installing amps you can either do a few things
1. connect amp remote directly to antenna remote and headunit remote wires. (causing antenna to be up when cd's are on)
2. disconnect antenna remote wire and run directly to amp. (causing antenna to never rise when listening to music)
or 3 install a switch on the antenna remote wire to cut out the current to the antenna (causing the antenna to rise and fall at your will)
i have chosen number 2 as if i want the radio it will still work without the best reception but if going on long drive and wont want cd's 24/7 i can connect antenna again easily from behind head unit.
I installed a switch to cut out power to my amps instead of buying a capacitor in order to allow less speakers to run and reduce that draining of battery in car...... does work but is a little fiddly.
choice is yours in the end
