Heya guys i have a very quick question to ask you guys ..

I have a civic GLi .. and i was wondering what the GLi model was called in the US ?

I've seen that the U.S have names such as "LX and DX" which one would represent the GLi model over there?

Thank you soo much :D

The GLi wasnt released in the US as you know - different levels of interior trim + accessories + SMOG requirements etc - i wouldnt think there is a "US COPY" but more so the equivelant.

The models used in US are very different. There is no equivalent GLi model, however some of the basic components are the same. For example, the 96-00 model GLi uses the D16Y4, while in the US, the equivalent is the D16Y7. The biggest difference is the air intake manifold, as the D16Y4 uses the same (or very similar) intake manifold as the US D16Y8.

In summary, there is no exact equivalents. You just have to be aware of the differences especially if you are shopping for parts.
