anyone has change the japanese spec(spoon, jsracing or mugen) ecu yet on your s2000?
it is gonna has any problem when your put japanese ecu on australia spec s2000?it is going to damage the engine since the ecu spec is different?

I dont think the problem is with the ecu causing problems, i think it will be that there is no fuel in australia to work with the ecu. Japs just use better fuel and so their ecu are mapped a bit differently.

I got told that Mugen S2K ecu won't work on aus s2k since jdm and audm are 2 different versions. I think it's more about the car more than the ecu

The S2K's are mechanicaly no different, I dont know who told you that they are 2 different cars. With the Integras yes very different, no the s2000 though.
The Mugen ECu would work well with the s2000, because its self taught, it adjusts everything itself, but its not programable.

It does not !! the Mugen ECU does NOT adjust ANYTHING its self that’s utter crap !!

If you want an fully programmable ECU the only way is to go go Motec on S2k's its all ill ever use on s2k’s M400 all the way !

ask many shop like amuse ,spoon and jsracing, normally they all have to give you own ECU to them to trade in a new ECU,but for australia spec ECU they dont want it.so that i think there are some difference between the aus ecu and jap ecu!!

Yeah, the stock ECU is as dumb as an axe. About the only things that will handle the iVTEC is the Lotec M400 or EFI Euro1.
