ok guys
got a bit of a problem with my head unit

it all started a few months ago when my battery died and my friend came over and tried to jump start my car, he claimed to know what was going on but ended up screwing it up( lets just sat he put the thigns in the wrong places...)

anyway
had to get a new battery
but after that, my head unit stopped working ie doesnt come on at all
i thought maybe the 'jump start' short circuited it
but the fuse is still ok, and all wires are still attach

thought maybe it was the H/U
so i chanegd it but still
it doesnt come on

i doubt theres anything wrong with the H/U
what else could be the problem

any help would be appreciated
any experienced people around?

*sorry for long post, try to give all the details*

well your head unit would be protected by a fuse, so it shouldnt have fried anything in it. Have a look in the fuse box right next to your steering wheel as well as the one under the bonnet, you should find your problem in one of those, if not then maybe get it checked out?
