If anyone knows could you please supply me with the following information.
My Engine is a D16y8. I need the following...

- Torque rating for the bolt/nut that holds the Camgear on.
- Torque rating for the valve cover bolts.
- Torque rating for the bolts holding in the rocker assembly.

If you could provide this I would be a happy little vegemite.

Regards

Kyle

There seems to be some differences between the engines and I couldn't find your particular engine spec(s)

- Torque rating for the valve cover bolts.

Should be around 9.8Nm

- Torque rating for the bolt/nut that holds the Camgear on. 37Nm for the D16Y3

- Torque rating for the bolts holding in the rocker assembly.

I can't find it but Weq should have it handy ;)

rocker bolts should be torqued in stages 2 and in a crosscross pattern working outwards.

now just need to convert Foot Pounds into Newton Meters.

While ive got you here man.

I was wondering if when changing a camshaft, are seals reusable, or should i just spend the extra $60 on , rocker cover seal, sparkplug seals, cam seals and distributer o-ring?

Cheers Man!

7ft-lbs - valve cover = 10Nm
22ft-lbs - main rocker assembly
9ft-lbs - rocker assembly end caps (the small ones on the end)
27ft-lbs - cam gear ~=37-38Nm

And yes, change your Cam seal :)
