Hi every one,
I just like to say thank you for accepting me as a new member.
I also want to find out if any one out there with no turbos or nitrous on 1990 LS integra tuned to 0-100(km/h) using g tec that is faster than my current integra LS. eg 0-100 = 6.85-6.92 sec(215/35/17)- full tank; 7.09 sec(215/40/17). All measured with a full tank at 7 -7.30 am. 4 runs at max. clutch release at 3000rpm.
When I bought it 6 months ago, it was doing 8.38 sec. Now its doing "quicker" than my prevoius b18c(in 92 ciivc sedan)-6.99-7.02sec.
I am using b18c air box, 60-80mm stock plus adaptor plastic pipe.2 inch exhaust and 100$ ram chip on p4 ecu.
If so, Can someone outthere share your experience?
Thanks.
woh...a 1990 LS Integra does faster 0-100 times than a DC5R...LOL
g tec is not accurate at all
you're saying it's faster than your b18c civic? does it feel faster in your Integra than your civic?
what mods have you done to it? what's P4 ECU?

g tec is not accurate at all
Its purpose is as a guide only and not a true measure of accuracy.

G tec is a quide line only. I used the same gtec on my b18c civic as i did with ls in the past 3 years. I also use the stop watch to measure the 0-100 only time. after all, i have to thumb up the g tec. So basically we are comparing the same system on two cars. eg my b18c vs LS. If g tec tells quicker then let it be. Yes, the LS does feel stronger from 4000-6000 as compared to b18c. My b18c(180hp) is smoother from 7000-8000 rpm or even 9000(only 0.02 sec quicker compared at 8000).
The LS chip I bought from US, called PBR chip in california. You can check on the ebay.
His name is MIKE VONG. by simply chip.
By the way the ls starts to drop power after 7100 rpm where as I shift at 7300. The cut off is 7500. Where as on b18c, the power starts to drop after 8000 rpm. The vtec point was at 5200rpm. The LS kills the vtec from 4000-6000. I am a NO BIASED PERSON. Pehaps, the lower end torque is important for 200m race; whereas b18c is good for 400m race. At least I am happy.......street racer only(200m). I still got a 62mm polished long CAI intake setting in the garage...I am from sydney.
3 years ago was 6000$. by good performance in guildford nsw. Now he wants 8000$.
To further on, I tested against xr6, xr6 turbo; holden v6, v8, v8ss, wrx. .s20..with n/as, 90% I won by 1 or 1.5 car lengths at 90. with wrx. by 1/2 car or behind by 1.5 car lengths. Most of the time, i will talk to the other driver to find out either he is racing or not. 90% of case are yes. I think in drag race, people do rev up really high to keep the boost on. whereas in the street, its rather a differnt story.....

No offense, if you want to test your car vs other cars in 0-100 even on the paper says 0-100 is under 7 sec. I would say 70% of the case is to do with the driving skills.

Mike Vong ?? rings a bell... was your chip called a PR4 gude chip or something ??
i bought one a few years ago from ebay and it definately didnt take 1 sec off my 0-100 time lol
i find it hard to believe that your car is that quick.. do it on the track then come back :)

ok, no lies. You only heard half of the story.
with stock advanced distrubutor time dropped from 8.38 to 8.20sec.
with chip down to 7.80 region.
with 2 inch exhaust plus cai-7.09 sec
with b pipe mode-enlarge to 2.2 inch plus max didtru advance(1/2 mm back from max)
ITS doing just under 7 sec........ all running using 98 optimax
no lies.
I can not get any faster that wise I need your advice. no turbo.....

stop talking about illegal street drags or u will be banned from ozhonda. :)

take it down the strip, gtech sint the right thing to be using for 0-100km/h times or even 200 and 400 drags.
Please do not misuse this http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/images/icons/18.gif icon.
And is it that difficult to post your replies in one thread?

i highly doubt u would beat the 8's or the xr turbo!
The g tech means nothing! Get ur car down the 1/4 and post up ur times then start letting us know how 'quick' ur car is!
All this 'i beat a wrx by 1.5mt from the traffic lights up to 60kph' crap means nothing!
So please, go to thye legal off street drags and do a 1/4 run and then come back and post ur slip up!

not bragging or anything but my 1990 LS Integra could do 0-100 in under six seconds and 0-400m in 13.72 seconds...
so i think it was the quickest NA L/S integra in Australia.
take your to the drag strip and let us know how you go ;)

I agree those time shown by gtechs arnt all that acurate , and some of those gains sound very believable, the only way your goin to know is to running it at the legal drags untill then no one is goin to take your times seriously , untill you have a slip it didnt happen
but i did my self have a much fast ls than that lol but its was boosted

lol my old engine we ran on my mates property timed 0 - 100 and i used to get rougly 8.2 seconds on average... no exhaust just a pod filter sitting where the old air box sits.. that's the only mod i did to it.. used to sit about half car length infront of my mates eb falcon down out home made strip :D man that was dodgy... haha the eb was stock internals but had extractors and full exhaust system with a proper intake on it.. i didn't think i went that bad considering i only have a little 1.8 compared to his big 4L six..

ok guys thank you for replying. By the way I did some runs with friends rx8(new), on g tec and it gets(0-100/km/h not 100 METERS) 6.98sec and on the car "motor magazine "6.5 to 6.6. So a weekafter he did a real run on eastercreek, just 5 minutes from work. His time was 14.89; 15.23, 14.91. Vs magazine was (14.8-9 sec)...so after all it wasnot to bad for the gtec.
But you must relize the drag road on the race track is very sticky and its very different to our normal road. My mate was dropiing clutch at 7000 rpm and it sticks....
I am not sort of guy like to run the eastern creek, but not because I am afraid of anything or not...I just find no interest. The 200m race is an example only. as I have retired form drags. With xr6 turbo..and wrxs..I have to admit it depends on the driver and the boost level.... I would say(from my experience) 7/10, I lead the race to 100km/h and THEY KEPT going(130 plus) which I reckon is quite dangerous.....

ummmmm, that is a typical comment from someone who has NEVER been on the drag strip.
it is NOT sticky at all, well if you have slicks it is, but not street tyres...
and if you are "not interested" in getting an 'official' time for your teg, why the heck do you seem to place so much empahsis on you lousy 'unoffical' g-tech times?
dumping the clutch at 7k rpm and it sticks which means straight away 100% traction ??? LOL
I agree with tinkerbell.

I am using g tec as a "system" to parallel my time measurement. the aim is to get a consistent repetitive results" it may not be the true et time. but give us(me) a guide lines that our tunning is either "improving" or not. I also use the stop watch as an reference. I have done this for 3 years and just about to give up. I also did a run on new Benze c320 and it did 7.83 and 8.23; 7,91. vs motor magazine is around(7.9-8.0) mark.
I am not saying g tec is accurate, but I can say g tec can tell me whether the car is doing better or not after tunning. Now...is that clear????

You are not the only one tells me about the drags...my hearing is from my work mate......does not matter...just take life easy....you are better off than live. I spend 30000$ pay back to my insurance company last year for the accident I did. You can laugh loud thats why i lost my b18c civic.
At least that tells you the differnce between a "crusier" weight fighter vs "heavy weight fighter"...have you heard of "ultimate fight"......thats cruel and real.......my next project is geteting a awd turbo cars....

best of luck :)
umm the drag strip IS alot stickier than normal roads.. try launching at 5000rpm on a normal road then doing it on a strip.. u'll notice how much more traction u lose on a normal road...
by the way wat q/mile time did u get on ur g-tech?

ey ive never been on the drag strip or even seen one and i dont make comments like that....take it back...
or ill take u on the drag strip coz my stock dc2 beat a porsche gt3 and a fully worked wrx sti....at the same time.....and by counting in my head i did 0-100 in 3 secs...(thats because i forgot to start counting untill i was up to 90km/h) :D
CLOSE!!!

It is up to you to take it with a grain of salt or otherwise.
But frankly, if you wish to test your skills and/or limits of your car, be a smart kid and do it off the streets where you will definitely be shown respect AND have proof of your abilities.
Good luck.
