Guys,

Just got the car back from the 40k/2Year service, I can't believe it's been 2 years already. Do I sense a car change coming on.

Anyway, the dealer was running a discount for servicing which I spotted in the local paper, for services done this month.

My question is was the 15% discount real, or do they just inflate the price before applying the discount ? (Reading between the lines, I still don't trust car dealers).

The service cost me $313.00, what have other people paid for this service ?

Thanks

Paul

I would check the fine print - In Perth they have similar offers but they are only for pre '02 models..

Wait till the 100K service hits you....

Damm at that price, I'll do the car myself and have my tuner chop the books for me...

Thats cheap. My dealer charge me $266.55 with 10% VIP discount. How can the service charge have such a difference? Isn't there a set Fee?

Dunno, guess it varies by dealerships. I take mine to Trivett classics where i bought the car from.

Reason why i do so many Km's is that im a Sales rep.

I think that the price your dealer charged for a 'discounted' 40k service was good. I had my 40k service at Southside Honda in Brisbane on the 15th of July this year & it cost me $412.80 & I supplied the oil. I had my 50k service the other day (Monday) & it cost $227.40 which included an air conditioner refresh treatment. I supplied the oil for this service also.

$266.55 is 20k service not 40k.

Paul

I paid $401.25 for 40000km service on 26/08/05 at Austral Honda.. (Labour $251.10) that price does not include wheel rotaion and balance nor alignment..

so your $313.00 is fair deakin a good deal.

Is your car giving you any problems at the moment? NO? Well you shouldn't really complain about the cost as it's fair.

I think if the car runs well, and the service is good, and the cost reasonable, then shouldnt' complain. It could be a lot worse! ie cheap cost, but headache of a time getting things right, bad service etc.

Wow, I've had my Euro since Nov 03' and it's only done 27,500km or so.

My last service (18 months service) was around $250.
