You saw the light! ;)
Our decision to purchase the Euro was the missus' familiarity with the car as soon as we test drove it. Just felt right at home. :D

Previous Rides were Nissans all the way. Light, Turbos, A drivers car.
But no rear seats [too tight for comfort], live in fear of cops everywhere you go, in the wet - bit of a snake to drive at times.
My first Honda is a Euro and not regrets getting this white beauty.

hehehe....i originally was looking at a few other cars
1) S15
2) R34 GTT
3) 2000 WRX Sti
4) MY03 WRX
5) S13 (one-via)
6) 180SX
7) MR2
8) Supra RZ
9) R32 GTR
10) DC5R
I was THIS close to get the R34 GTT but insurance issues with all of them sorta defered me from them.....
euro is prob the last car i saw...but the most sensible....with a decent amt of power too.
AND not to mention it has that bling/pimp factor that im in love with :D

My family had 3 cars. A 94' Honda Accord, 1970's Mitsubishi clone and a Daihatsu Terios. But as for my own car, the Euro is the first. I was considering the Nissan X-Trail, Corolla Sportivo and AE101 Levin 20V as well.

The Euro is my first Honda. Previously owned a Mazda Astina and Camry. So far, very happy with the car. Has the refinement of the Camry and the handling prowess of the Astina. The best of both worlds!!
The Euro is my first Honda although we did have a Civic in the family for many years that I did drive from time to time.
My previous car was a 1987 Mazderati 626 - had it for about 10 years. That car refused to die god damn it. I always said I would get rid of it when it died. It was just ridiculous - at one point my bicycle was worth $2000 more than my car. I could afford a new car once I finished uni but just wanted to see how long the mazda would last - so I kept it. I eventually gave up waiting and sold it with 280,000kms on the odo - it was still going strong (no smoke and started first time everytime). Unbelievable.
The Euro is one of the best cars I have driven. Just a great all rounder.

In the past, we had 1991 Cressida, 1998 Camry v6.
Currently mum drives 1994 ES300,
Brother drives 2002 IS200,
My wife drives 1996 Celica..
Grand dad has 1995 widebody camry,
Aunty's family got Camry Vienta and RAV4 (1992 Camry and 1993 Tarago before that)

My mum still has a 87 or was it 88 Mazderati 626!!! its got abt 298 000kms on the odo but still starts first go, no smoke n bloody reliable.... doesnt die! only "major" problem we had was a hole in the muffler... was kinda funni since it sounded like it had an aftermarket exhaust...
we'll eventually be a honda family... right now its just the euro
Early next yr a civic for me
sometime next yr a 5th or 6th gen accord for mum
gonna be one happy :honda: family

The Honda Accord Euro is my 1st honda.
Before this I had a 2001 Alfa Romeo 147 which I owned and loved for 3 years and a bit. But just had to many electric glitches.
I came across a Honda Euro when I had a few driving lessons to get me back on track with manual as I had always been driving auto.
I was so impressed that when It came to the crunch I had to sell my 147 & traded in for a Honda Euro funny thing was ended up with an Auto but wanted a manual!
Overall was never into Jap cars but the build quality and drive of a Euro is far better then alot of European cars in the same class.
Best FWD car I have ever driven.

My first Honda was a 2001 Civic, while that car was nice it didn't have enough guts and wasn't quite stylish enough, enter the Euro :D
I will never buy anything else, love Honda's and am hooked ! Unless one day I am rich which I really doubt, then I might go for a high-end BMW or Ferarri ;)

Euro is my first owned Honda but have driven a lot of the DC2 and DC5 Type Rs of friends, for fun :)
EURO build quality is top notch out of all the Japanese cars (tactility and visually speaking), it evens beats some Lexus's and the E46 BMWs in my opinion!
Interior plastics, fitting, alignments, paint, everything was just perfect. Interior design could have been better though, nothing exciting, not a lot of character..
Would probably have bought a Subaru Liberty except I find the build quality is pretending to be high end but the material obviously isn't so. Even worst for the MY05 WRX and ever now the MY06. Funnily enough Wheels mag agrees otherwise, but to me, EURO is better than Liberty and on par with Lexus but lower price and with HID's :)
Only grudge is slight starting problems sometimes, which never had in other cars.
2ndly the ABS kicks in way too sensitively on the EURO even though tyres aren't right on the limit yet - doubt anyone would pick it up like I do, but would imagine in an emergency situation, this would make the car take too much longer to stop.... May be the brake assist is overdoing my intended braking effort?? :O

First Honda, had a mix of cars before then:
1. 1993 Volvo 940GL (no good pos)
2. 1996 Mazda 323 Protege (still around)
3. 1990 Ford TX5 (selling soon)
4. 2003 Accord Euro Lux
I think I can easily say which car I enjoyed the most ;) Hopefully my next Honda will be my own and will be the S2000.
The Euro is my first Honda and my second new car. Other cars have been
1) 1996 Vienta Touring 5sp man. - excellent car + my first new car. It got too hard to but good tidy cars with manual transmissions.
2) 1988 EA Ford Faimont Ghia (auto) - could not get rid off it quick enough + 1st and only auto. :thumbdwn:
3) 1987 VL Commodore - Spent a long time looking for one this tidy and then it was written off after I had only had it for a year. :(
4) 1984 Mazda 626. Brilliant car owned this one for many years.
5) 1974 4.2L (V8) LH Torana. Sold this one after it was pinched for the second time . :(
6) 1973 202 LJ Torana - Same engine as the GTR, but 3 on the tree (column shift), standard suspension and drum brakes all round!!!
7) ??? Austin Kimberly - 1st car in 1979.

My Euro was my first but won't be my last. I'm very very happy with it. Before this, my 1st car was a '82 Mazda 626, then a '92 Nissan Pintara (shitbox), then a new '01 Lancer GLXi modded to the hilt. Then became a family man and bought the Euro. Good compromise between performance and comfort.

Yep, the Euro was my very first Honda. It's only a STD 05 base model but it's my first brand new car. I'm pretty stoked that manuals are cheaper than autos :D .Not a fan of the 16" wheels though :thumbdwn: so I will change them just that I wanna do all my mods in one go.
I'm actually a holden guy  well I guess I WAS a holden guy...still got a thing for the SS ute but coz of insurance and petrol consumption I had to give it a miss...same goes for the SV6 but I actually couldn't find a decent 2nd hand one, in black and 6sp manual.
Love the smooth drive of the Euro but only until a get my coilover set :D

do you have any holden mates that give you shit about having a 4cyl? get them to join for a track day if you do, youll be running rings around them on the corners with those coilovers installed :D

Sorry to thread mine.
I used to own a 75 Honda civic. It was my first car. It had the 1200cc motor in it, 4sp manual, 2 door, yellow, push button starter on it (I cant remember why) and the head was cracked and I all I did to keep the car going was chuck in bottles of 'chemiweld' in to keep it working without ripping the head off. The synchros in first gear was stuffed so I couldnt engage first while moving. But she hauled when you gave it a bootful. plus it kept overheating. NOW looking to get me a euro and experience the honda all over again.

Had a '98 Accord V6 50th anniversary.
Damn gearbox problem at 98k,(slipping and delayed pickup) sold it regrettably due to ongoing gearbox issues and potential hazard when driving.
Had a CBR600 until collision with blind driver 3yrs ago almost killed me and wrote off my bike and his car.
Euro is a safer alternative with all those airbags!
.....and my wife won't let me get the Ducati....
Just missing that 3 sec acceleration to 100kph.................................come on Hondata!

1) 1968 HK Holden Sedan (in avocado green :p ) 186 red motor which never made it to the road legally!!! Okok...now i'm showing some age :o
2) 1981 Falcon XD (bulletproof, thirsty, leaked like a sieve...oh yeh and could not stop the cancer!!!)
3) 1990 Commo VN (what can I say...:( rattly, thirsty, EVERYTHING broke...well eventually, probably the worst i've owned! Hsss!!!!)
4) 1998 Rodeo TD D/cab (daily driver)
5) 1999 Subaru WRX (Sadly missed, pocket rocket, great car but small)
6) 2006 Euro Luxury Graphite MT (Overall best package, looks, power, economy, size and quality...and Re-sale!) First New car and first Honda.
I'm Finished with the Falcodore years for lots of other reasons too...Who says you need a LARGE car to fit your family?!
...I've been told that i'm driving a 'grandma's car' as mentioned on the show 'Top Gear'. This was by older diehard SS owners who seem to need power and rediculous fuel economy to make them feel young again. But anyhow, at 29...you're only as old as the woman you feel don't they say? :p
The Euro is my third car, and my third Honda. My first was an '83 Accord, followed by an EK9 Civic.

my history is alittle hit and miss but uni money and lifestyle caused all that.
84 nissan gazelle - ca20 1st car loved it, reliable, but no air con and only 78kw
85 jb mitsu starion - 2 ltr turbo, had some go, made me a turbo man, smokey engine and not quite refined.
91 pintara - station car nuff said
94 gen 3 crx - awesome, great rev range and gearbox, i wish it had alittle bit more ticker especially with air con on, roof off nice day fantastic. made me a honda man i love playing with revs and cruisin.
91 corolla seca - awesome reliability
06 euro - best by far, probably cos its my 1st brand new car to, the only thing any car had on it is the crx with the roof off and the manual gears for fun drives and double clutching past slow bast*rds in the fast lane, my euro is a auto.

Thought i wanna share my car history too starting from first car to the last...
- 1994 toyota celica zr (st204): auto, very slow but nice handling
- 1997 honda civic cxi (ek9): first honda, good ride
- 2004 toyota camry altise: good large car but slow as turtle
- 2005 toyota corolla conquest: actually first manual transmission car, fairly quicker than celica, handy for zippy ride ;)
- 2007 honda accord euro (cl9): replacing corolla, since i need bigger family car, easily the best car i've driven :D

Thanks Tony but I reckon I'll waste my cash and time trying to do up an NA 2L. I already have the diff back exhaust and a set of wheels on it but I have read all the write ups on the MRT forums, ozliberty forums as well as rsliberty club, and the fact that I cant to anything decent other than a front cut turbo conversion made me look to a euro instead. Big jump from 92kw to 140kw. If it wasnt for that I would keep it.

Mine was 2.5l man.2l auto =slug.
Euro is my third Honda after having some fun in a couple of Civics (89 and 92).
I have had a few cars over the years......First car was when I was 18. In order, they were (all manuals apart from number 1);
1. 1979 VB Commodore SL/E 5 litre V8 (fun, dangerous and went through fuel faster than I could earn money to fill it up)
2. 1983 Celica XT (looked nice but snooze....)
3. 1989 Civic GL (could not afford a CRX, next best thing)
4. 1988 Pulsar Q (lasted 6 months!)
5. 1992 Civic GL (great car which served me well)
6. 2000 Mazda Mx5 (first new car........fantastic car. Handled amazingly)
7. 1998 BA Astina (no problems with this car, reliable and looked great)
8. 1999 BMW 323i (straight 6 - 2.5 litre sounded glorious and went well too. Hideous maintenance costs over 3 years!)
9. 2006 Euro Luxury (very happy with it. Great value and quality)
I looked and drove the Mazda 6 MPS, BMW 325i, Lexus IS250 and Liberty GT-Spec B at the time. Decided to get the Euro which had elements of all of the above with a good price.

Yes I am always interested. Second hand is what I'll be looking for. Looking for a Black or charcoal euro, k's less than 80,000, preferred manual but will accept auto, price to be under 27k inc all ORC.
Something like this

Euro was mu 1st Honda.
1. 2000 VW Golf 2.0 GLE (solid built... miss it sometimes; maintenance can be on the high side past 3 year mark - its well built so would consider doing maintenance on mileage rather than on a time schedule...)
2. 2006 Euro Stantard Auto (very happy with it. Great value and quality)
I looked and drove the Mazda 3 & 6, BMW 320i (E90), Lexus IS250 and Liberty GT-Spec B and 2.5i at the time. Decided to get the Euro which had a combination of the most of the best properties of the above cars.

My first Honda too, and pretty damn happy with my decision.
I had a Lancer for 5 years as my first car and was after an upgrade after I landed a new job as this was never going to happen as a poor uni student lol.
Was debating whether to go for something sporty like a wrx or s15, or even an sp23 but the quality and overall excellent package of the euro just won me over.
Love my car and depending on what Honda bring out in the future i'd consider getting another one.

First Honda for me ... actually first car purchase in my name. I had previously driven my parent's Holden Apollo (/Toyota Camry) and for a while a horrible Mazda 626 diesel import.
I'm quite happy to say I have the nicest car in the family. Based purely on driver satisfaction and feel.

This is my 1st Honda and it has taken almost 18 months before I could believe nothing was going to go wrong. It is the best constructed car I have bought or driven. Absolutely nothing goes wrong. I have always owned European cars, mostly Fiats and Peugeots where one can expect a few minor glitches. With the Euro nothing has gone wrong. Which brings me to the number of threads complaining about creaking clutches, strange sounds when the wheels are turned, shocks and clutches having to be replaced etc. I have come to the conclusion that there are a lot of badly trained Honda drivers out there who must be abusing the machinery and either don't realise it or don't care.

Fair point I think but you need to remember that people generally only post when they think they have a problem. I say think because often the issue is perceived rather than reality (eg power steering noise on full lock). As for blown shocks you will only hear about that when people have changed to lowered springs - not from people who leave the suspension stock. Clutches being replaced is as rare as can be (2 cases in 3 years?) and in one case I know the driver was at fault (they can remain nameless).
But the creaking clutch and headlight condensation are real enough issues as well as the odd rattle here and there.

Id take a creaking clutch and headlight condensation anyday over some of the issues Ford and Holden are having at the moment.
